Mar 31,2023I was looking at your grinder proof lock online and from Google I lended to your website in German (I live in Belgium). So I changed the language in English but at the same time it did changed the country too. So I purchased the lock in English (so from UK) instead that in DE (Germany-Europe) and I ended up paying EUR 85.50 for import duty! This was for sure in part due to not paying attention but it is the first time that it happen to me that when you change the language on a website you change country too! For the rest the U lock it does look really powerful, but it is a far too short, it is too difficult to lock the bike with a typical road sign in the street or to lock the tyre and the frame of the bike.

Mar 31,2023Hi -- I bought 4 Hiplok Security Ties and a couple of xtra keys. I learned about these from watching Dustin Klein's Youtube Channel, he recommended them as a secondary lock, especially in an urban setting. These are a great option and I highly recommend them. I carry two Security Ties on my bike and have used them for short stops. I recommend that you purchase the 2-Pak, because having a second is a good deterrent. I also went with the black color as not to attract attention--stealth mode... :)

Mar 31,2023I came across Hiplock because I was doing some research on what are the most secure locks I could pick from for my new e-bike. After some internet digging I decided to get the Hiplock D1000 simply because it seems to be the most secure lock I could find for the purpose. I am pretty happy with the purchase and I even suggested it to a friend to protect his new bike, we both agree that the locks seem to strong for an ordinary thief to even bother to try. I don’t have experience with any other of their product but they all look quite nice, wide range for different security needs and good attention to detail. The o lot downside I had (and only Brexit can be blamed for this) is that I paid too many taxes to have the lock imported to NL, almost 100EUR :/

Mar 28,2023I bought a Hiplock D-Lock and also a plastic coated chain to secure the wheels of my bike. Excellent customer service throughout and the quality of both items was incredibly high. Both the lock and chain feel extremely strong and well finished. Sadly, the D-lock was just a little short to be able to attach my electric bike to some bike racks/railings here in Bath - only because my bike has a very thick down tube (for the battery) and some of our railings have Bath stone bases which get in the way. But a very portable and ingenious lock (I believe Hiplock may be considering a slightly longer one as part of their range, too).

Mar 26,2023I needed new keys that cost like 4 bucks, and somehow paid $15 for domestic shipping. I run a small business and understand flat rate shipping but this seems a bit much.

Mar 23,2023Got charged twice for VAT. So paid an extra 20% for the product to the tax man unnecessarily. You should enable shipping to the EU VAT free as other UK websites do. Poor customer experience and no excuse for an international business in my view. Get your act together, grow your business, and be more successful. Updated:. Was refunded the VAT. Thanks to Hiplok for a fast response
