My excellent service was best yet
I Travelled 50 miles to view a car that was advertised as a 1 hour drive away car. When I arrived at Howard’s used cars I found the vehicle I intended to purchase prior to a viewing. Much to my disgust the car looked like it had been sitting for weeks! The bumper was not fitted properly, the wiper blade was hanging off and the car was covered in fine scratches on every panel which was not what the pictures in the advert represented. After trying to talk to a salesman they then told me the car would not be available to drive away in an hour, it wouldn’t be available to drive away for another 3 days. Coming from a motor trade background I was prepared to take on these issues and made a sensible offer with hope that the salesman would have some sort of deal with me but all their response was they could give me £200 off as a “goodwill gesture”. After some more discussion on the price and about how the car was falsely advertised I was told to look at some other cars on the forecourt but wasn’t shown them because at this point the salesman took the for sale board out the car and walked off.
Fantastic service. The whole experience of buying a car was seamless. The assistance and support from the staff was above and beyond. In particular Martin who guided us through this process he was so friendly and polite, he really cared about offering an all round first class service and he certainly delivered a first class service. Attempted to look at a Peugeot 208 GTI over a month or so. When inquiring multiple times I was never called back for a discussion towards the car. After emails back and forth I was finally “added into the system”. A test drive was arranged and the car didn’t start, had hidden damage and the salesman tried telling me that it’s normal for cars in the southwest to have wheel corrosion “due to the sea salt in the air”. Moreover,when talking about the car and making a suitable offer on the car, £8200 at first and £8800(more than market value), the salesman was blunt and rude saying essentially “were not budging”. You guys are clearly over pricing cars hence why an extremely popular car such as this, isn’t selling. You’ve lost a loyal customer on this day, good bye Peugeot!
I have recently purchased a used Fiat car from Howards Peugeot located in Weston Super Mare and commend the first class customer care received from Sales Executive Matt Huxtable through out the buying process. Communications where first class ensuring an easy & stress free transaction. Hand over of car was undertaken yesterday with both Matt and Sophie, the car was immaculate inside and out having just been valeted - very impressive. A special thank you to Matt for my collection from local Rail station. In conclusion; I would highly recommend Howards of Weston Super Mare to any other prospective purchasers.
