Feb 09,2025I ordered on line a dishwasher with free next day delivery. The next day, when the appliance was supposed to be delivered, and although Hughes had been paid the entire amount, I received a phone call from deliveries saying I could have the dishwasher delivered three days later or more. Then I called the store to complain and they were more than happy to refund me instead of keeping their promise for next day delivery. Then of course I would have to wait many days for the money to go back to my account and buy it from somewhere else, but I did anyway because I refuse to be a victim of their sales fraud. Also, be aware not to fall for their scam offer of beer52. They make you sign up to a subscription that is way too difficult to unsubscribe afterwards and you keep getting charged a huge amounts of money for a few horrible cans of beer, which you cannot even return!

Feb 09,2025I ask myself why did I waste 45 mins of my life in the big purple electrical retailer being told everything is out of stock except, obviously the £409 plus tumble dryers. Should of come straight to Hughes in Clacton. Same price with better availability and attitude. We had a demo and explanation of key features from Jack and while I moved my car, he brought it out and loaded the car! Can't ask for anything else from him. Lesson learned.

Feb 09,2025Competitive price, together with a price match guarantee. Didn't have to wait long for delivery. Hughes kept in contact with me by email every step of the way from placing an order for my item and delivery. I made use of the price match guarantee, and the money was back into my account within three days - very impressed! My only downside was the actual delivery of the item. It was by an outside courier called Arrow XL (not Hughes themselves). The younger of the two delivery men was helpful, but the older one was unfriendly. I'd paid extra for unpacking, but he was just going to leave it in its wrapping, until I reminded him. There was no apology for his mistake, and it all seemed like too much trouble for him! This wouldn't stop me from purchasing from Hughes again though. They are great!
