Feb 07,2025Don’t order an American fridge freezer from Hughes - they won’t deliver as promised. We went with Hughes because they delivered our original FF with a 4 man crew. We ordered a new replacement/ identical FF two weeks ago for delivery last Saturday. Hughes sent a two man crew despite being advised of 4 internal steps. Delivery chap stated they couldn’t deliver due to safety. We agreed it should at least be a 3 person crew. He took photos which he sent to head office. Monday was rescheduled delivery, a two man crew arrived and declined to deliver. Hughes apologised and rescheduled for Wednesday, no delivery crew arrived despite tracker saying it was out for delivery . when chased, Hughes said they had ordered a new replacement because the one out for delivery on the Monday was probably knocked about and they did not want to risk us rejecting it. Rescheduled for this Friday. Requested am delivery as we needed time to book our local furniture removal company to get the FF down our kitchen steps ( at extra cost to us) as Hughes couldn’t managed it. Hughes said they would deliver between 1-3pm and were unable to change the order of the delivery. We have now told them to stuff it and we will go with J Lewis who are reliable. So Hughes , you now need to compensate us for the time off work, the inconvenience and the extra money we had to fork out to get the FF up the steps. We have the old FF sitting in our front lounge! Lovely.we’ve had no fridge for a week now. Hughes basically don’t sell products you can’t deliver!. Very angry and frustrated. We won’t be using you again.

Feb 06,2025We've been buying goods from Hughes, Hunstanton, for almost 20 years. The first thing we notice is the staff: they will all have a welcoming smile. And their knowledge about the products they sell is very high indeed. They won't try to baffle folk with explanations. They just manage to talk at the level the customer would want. They have never failed us and we would recommend the store and its staff unreservedly.

The pricing was excellent; delivery cost was included; everything was done precisely as specified and the delivery (and take away of old unit and packaging which was asked for) and attitude of Arrow XL was excellent. Feb 06,2025Purchased a gas hob. Slight issue with the delivery, should have come the day after but a delivery driver had called in sick resulting in my delivery being cancelled that day. When I spoke to the delivery company though they were very helpful and apologetic and arranged for an early morning delivery the following day so the issue was resolved quickly. The hob itself arrived in perfect condition and we have not had any issues with it! Overall good service from both Hughes and the delivery company.

We had a slight hick up with our order. Which was outside of Hughes control. This was when Hughes stepped up and excelled above their 5 stars. Support team member Jenna C assisted with our query, which was easily resolved in a friendly, professional, polite, efficient way. We couldn’t have asked for better service.
