Feb 06,2025I will never use Hughes again. The wrong washing machine. Which ok things happen. But it was the customer service that was in a polite way poor. Took three weeks to sort and ended up with a refund due to complete incompetence. No apology until they had to refund money. Poor effort

Item was ordered (at a discounted price compared to a major High Street electrical retailer) Tuesday evening and was delivered Thursday lunchtime. What I particularly liked about the website was a landline number to contact should it be necessary (which it wasn’t).

Feb 05,2025Excellent service from Hughes. Only complaint would be that Hughes web site does not replicate Bosch site when seeking further detailed information. Guarantee promise confusing, and offers are too. However, ploughed on regardless and through Bosch managed to get what I wanted! Apart from that problem, everything was superb from Hughes point of view.

Feb 05,2025From dealing with staff in Thetford store to delivery team really positive engagement, as the lads took the dishwasher off the van, they noticed that it was badly damaged and got straight to the point of organising a replacement. They were most perturbed that somebody had loaded their van and not noticed the damaged goods and were so apologetic to myself. The store phoned me within a few minutes apologising and hopefully it should be with me on 8 Feb. Will still continue to deal with Hughes, so much better than the rather large companies.

We came across Hughes whilst browsing and they had good reviews. The item we wanted was available, no delivery charge, and we chose a day suitable to us. Feb 05,2025Untrustworthy Pricing Practices – Avoid Hughes.co.uk! I had an incredibly disappointing experience with Hughes.co.uk. I was purchasing an oven priced at £599 on offer, and after adding it to my basket, the price suddenly increased to £750. When I called their customer service to address this, I was met with a dismissive response that they could change the price whenever they want. Thankfully, I still have a screenshot of the original price to prove it. This makes their actions even more unacceptable and unethical. Once an item is added to the basket, the price should remain locked until checkout – this is standard practice in fair and reputable companies. Their attitude shows a lack of respect for their customers and zero accountability. I strongly advise anyone considering a purchase from Hughes.co.uk to think twice. This kind of practice is not only frustrating but reflects poorly on their business integrity. I’ll certainly be taking my custom elsewhere. Shocking experience!
