Order a gas hob and it arrived damaged, phoned up Hughes and had to send pictures of the damage and serial number of the item, I also had to write an email describing the damage. After a few more phone calls being given different information by staff, we were told that it would be replaced, it arrived 3 days later. The new hob was also damaged, this time I just requested a refund and have purchased one elsewhere, without the damage.

Excellent customer service, dealt with my query very quickly. Customer service team called me back very quickly and were so helpful, very friendly and not pushy. They offered me a price match without any fuss.
Hughes purchasing experience is seriously let down by their choice of delivery service i.e. ‘DPD’ !!! Do not believe their delivery date or times that they quote. I took time off work especially, and it ended up being delivered 3 days later! Update following Hughes response. DPD have now lied to Hughes, telling them that they attempted to deliver on the original date. I had the DPD app and watched the drivers location regularly, especially when it said that my delivery was one away, which incidentally was well after the delivery time slot I was given. I then watched the driver go to about 5 different locations within about a 3 mile radius over a 2-3 hour time period. The closest the driver got was passing the end of my road which is over 53 houses away ~1/4 mile. That just cements my thoughts about what a terrible and untrustworthy company DPD are. Hughes really offer a competitive deal. There communication is good & they dispatched the item to me on time & with no extra cost, this was really important to me as I live in Northern Scotland.

Delivered on day requested. Bosch Series 6 dishwasher was unpacked and brought into the house without a scratch. Delivery guys were very helpful. After they left I soon had the machine connected and ready its first test run. It works perfectly and seems a very nice dishwasher which does a great job with the dishes and cutlery.

Jan 18,2025I ordered a new fridge, selected the delivery date, this for some reason had not been passed with my PayPal payment. I received a call from Hughes asking if I had a specific delivery date in mind. The date I thought I had chosen was now full but despite this they were still able to arrange to get my fridge delivered on my chosen date.
