Our company had the BEST time during the Epsom Derby. The facilities were stunning and the food was breath-taking.
Same story as the other comments to be honest. We booked for Henley last year, it was cancelled understandably due to COVID. We agreed to hold the booking over to this year in good faith, the event has been moved to August and unfortunately 5 of the 10 people cant attend due to other commitments, we approached ICE and suggested a credit note or refund against the 5 tickets, 5 of us still want to go. They flat out refused to help and didn't care about our situation, even though we stood by them and have been a regular customer in the past this mattered not one jot. All I can say is if DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!! if anything goes wrong that is out of your control they will keep your money and tell you to jog on... Possibly the worst business decision I have ever seen form a business in my many years working in a high level professional environment, Imperial Corporate Events you should be ashamed!!
Avoid this company at all costs. show no compassion throughout covid at all, take a deposit and then legally tie you into a contract. cancel events and refuse to offer you a refund. Refuse to move events which are not even confirmed due to covid. the worst type of company. the sales staff don't leave you alone. Avoid.
This company is a total FRAUD DO NOT USE THEM AND TAKE THEM TO COURT AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY HAVE WITHELD OUR MONEY FOR ALMOST TWO YEARS NOW THEY SHOULD BE REFUNDING WE PAID THEM FOR ROYAL ASCOT AND IT HAS BEEN CANCELLED 2 YEARS RUNNING. NOT ONLY DO THEY WANT US TO PAY IN FULL BUT ARE REFUSING TO BUDGE FOR SURE WILL BE TAKING THEM TO COURT AS THERE TERMS AND CONDITIONS ARE RUBBISH AND SHOULD WIN THE CASE, IF WE ALL START TO TAKE THEM TO COURT THEY WILL HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO PAY!!
These people constantly spam you about high priced events and offers. They don't take any notice of unsubscribes and continually re add you to their mailing lists.
Others might be interested in a problem we are experiencing with Imperial Corporate Events (ICE) (Leicester). In 2020 we booked a corporate event day at Wimbledon for the first Saturday. It was booked through my son in law because he had used this company on several previous occasions. I paid a deposit of £5920 for 6 members of the family, for what was to be a once in a lifetime family treat. Wimbledon 2020 was cancelled because of the virus, but I agreed that instead of seeking a refund, to help the company, I was prepared to let them retain the deposit and we would transfer to a similar package for Wimbledon 2021. ICE fully agreed. 3 members of the family group have had to shield for nearly a year because of their health situation. I have Vasculitis and been advised to be very cautious after shielding. As a result my son in law contacted ICE to ask if we could defer to 2022 rather than attend this year because of the continuing virus situation. Again we were prepared, in deferring until next year, for ICE to retain the deposit. ICE initially confirmed that this arrangement would be acceptable. Today my son in law has been informed that, because Wimbledon is now going ahead, the deferment we thought had been agreed was null and void. Our options were to either go this year or lose all our money (£11840). Despite trying to negotiate, and explaining once again the reasons behind the deferment, ICE have remained inflexible. It was reiterated that we still wish to go next year once we believe the threat of Covid has subsided. We have pointed out that they shouldn’t have a problem selling the tickets in view of the reduced attendance at this year’s Wimbledon because of the Covid restrictions but the response was again “use the tickets or lose your deposit and pay the balance.” They say they anticipate huge demand for tickets next year and the price they will charge for the corporate event will therefore be much higher than this year. Their final response was to email my son in law a 7 day final payment demand with a threat to take legal action if he doesn’t pay. To the best of my knowledge many travel companies etc have played fair with their customers over Covid but ICE are unresponsive to genuine health reasons for being cautious regarding attendance at an event like Wimbledon. We believe we played fair with the company last year when we could have expected a full refund but there is no attempt by ICE to play fair and their attitude is “take it or lose it and pay in full”. I would expect a moderate increase in price for next year but not bare faced profiteering. I wonder if the LTA will be happy to hear that ICE are anticipating huge gains next year, although, as I understand it, the LTA is not intending to make large increases on ticket prices this year or next! This seems to me to be a company cashing in on the Covid situation even with customers who have played fair with them. What was to have been a once in a lifetime treat for my wife and I, both in our late 70s, with our two daughters and their husbands, has turned in to something which I believe is a total disregard for fair treatment of previously loyal customer and has left me very angry and out of pocket by nearly £12K!! We’ll never use this outfit again. Even their own employees were embarrassed to convey the decision of their senior managers who in turn blamed their directors. What a company!
Awful service. Paid over £1500 for a 50% deposit for an event which they couldn't provide twice. They have witheld the money for almost 3 years and point blank refuse to refund or change the event. Whats more, the customer service staff are rude and dismissive and happy to keep your money! Now they are saying the remaining 50% balance is due or you lose the first deposit. Scum bags.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They repeatedly cancel events and refuse to give a refund. It's an absolute joke! No refund, no suitable alternative offered, they just think they can hold onto you money for two years!
If I could give no stars I would. I paid for an event back in August 2019, Which was due to happen in July 2020. Due to the pandemic it didn't go ahead. In the March 2020 they informed me that if I didn't transfer to the following year in 2021 then I would lose the large sum of money I had already paid. That was my only option, no refund, and no using the funds to transfer to another event. I accepted in the hope 2021 would go ahead, however it is not and they still refuse to give me a refund or use the balance for a different event, they are suggesting again it can only be moved to 2022. It is honestly the worst customer service I have experienced and would never use them again. They would of been making interest on my businesses money for nearly three years by the time the event comes around. It is disgusting.
Awful, dodgy T&C's utterly unwilling to negotiate or offer alternatives, whatever is offered you have to take or suffer cancellation and forced to pay in full. Terrible customer care, longstanding customer, treated like an idiot. Never will use again
I repeatedly tried to cancel this booking Even before the covid I think the way you treated me is disgusting I will never use your company again And I will tell anybody never to use your company I accepted I would lose my deposit but to threaten me degusting As it has turned out losing family members has put it in prospective So keep your money
Would give no stars if I could. Awful company with no morals. Booked Ascot last year no refund options. Forced to this year which has now been cancelled again. Again no refund 100% cancellation fee. Avoid this company.
They use high pressure sales techniques to get you to sign up and pay a deposit, often saying that there is a massive discount which is a total lie as its not discounted at all, just a deceptive sales technique, they will also say that these tickets will go fast in probably 15 minutes, don't fall for it, do check there prices, and then break down the accommodation and flights and yo will find that its cheaper and safer to not use them, they overinflated prices and benefits, they will not refund you if teh event is cancelled etc
Avoid this awful company! We had to take them to court to recover the £7000 we paid for a trip which was cancelled in April 2020 due to Covid-19. They were insisting that instead of a refund, we had to accept their substitute event taking place a whole year later(this probably won't even go ahead either!) Check the contract - there is a really dodgy clause which says that if your trip doesn't take place, instead of a refund they will provide a substitute event. This means they put you on whatever event they fancy, on whatever date they choose, and if you are unable to attend that's your own fault! They did eventually agree to a voucher to use on a future trip but as it was a lot of money, and we didn't know when we would be able to use the voucher, we wanted a refund. Finally managed to get it refunded through legal proceedings. It is an absolute disgrace that they treat their clients like this when a trip was cancelled through no fault of our own. The way they have dealt with the pandemic is very short sighted because we will never use them again and surely others experiencing similar issues won't either.
Booked a package for Wimbledon for both our mums for 2020, and we’re worried about their health for 2021 but were flatly refused any refund. In the last 2 years we’ve booked another 3 events with this company( obviously no client loyalty) and subsequentlywill never never use them again.or recommend them.
Booked an event at Fat Duck with accommodation for in laws Golden Wedding and paid for family. Unfortunately the venue cancelled due to C-19, understandable, lovely email from the venue stating no money has been taken, we managed to do something else ourselves for them and they had a good day. Much to our surprise Imperial Cooperate Events however refuse to return the money. This is despite £10,000’s of business with them. They have been rude, dishonest and threatening - please don’t believe anything the sales person says, don’t trust anything agreed with them, once your money is with them the company doesn’t care, expect immediate sarcastic emails, lies and legal threats from their customer services team once they fail to deliver.
