In September 2021 we purchased 4 windows and 2 sets of Patio Doors. We paid an extra premium for a 3-week delivery with supplier AluK as the alternative supplier Smart Systems had a lead time of 8-9 weeks. Alas, it took 13 weeks / 4 deliveries and dozens of emails and phone calls to resolve and for all of the correct products to be delivered to the site which threw all of our schedules out. We have now reached a satisfactory conclusion with JVD, however we will not be a repeat customer.

We recently had triple glazed sliding doors and double glazed slither windows installed in our recording studio - We had issues the glazing rubbers (due to shoddy builder NOT product) and they had to be replaced and re-fitted - Nick Brooks (customer Serive manager) was brilliant and so helpful in locating new ones for us and offering so much advice. We will definitgely be usng Just Value Doors again and thank Nick and his team for being fantasic.

Utter joke. 3 months to get a door, numerous delivery dates sent to us which were just "when they receive the door" into their warehouse, and not actually delivered to us on site. Out of the blue the door turned up last night around 18:00, with zero notice it was actually being delivered at all, AND it got delivered to the wrong address. It came to our unit and not the clients address which is 45 mins drive away. Not exactly a cheap door either at £1,850 We haven't checked the door yet for damage as it is still wrapped and we need to now transport it to the clients home where it will be opened up and checked. So there may be more to add to this review!!!
Experienced Issues, as detailed in my letter, quoted below: Thank you for your email response, 21st April 2021, to my letter of complaint and apologies for my delayed reply. I feel it is important to respond to your comments with more detailed information here, as follows: RE: this error in process and production clearly being a case of human error: Where you quote your terms as stated at 22.8, you neglect to also include and appraise my response to JVD on 22nd October 2020. There I queried how JVD state the order will be updated with adjustment notes by the Surveyor and that this clearly did not happen. I also noted that the wording 'where possible' is at odds with the statement (visible on your website at that point of my purchase), that ‘the visit from the Surveyor is the opportunity to make any final required changes.’ In addition, it appears this wording is not now automatically accessible; can you direct me to where it is now situated on your website please? I have found it very disappointing that I still have had no clarification as to why the final work order I received was incorrect and did not reflect my evident requests put to the surveyor. It also has still not been qualified to me as to why this was not discussed and checked as correct with me during the final phone call your company states I will receive. As said, I did not get to discuss the final sign off by phone with your team. I was just urged to pay quickly, without any discussion of the paperwork, nor examination of my requirements. Are you now able to advise me on this aspect please? With regard to your comments RE: 22.9, this is a distinctly moot point in that the installation will be regarded as correct by Evander, having been carried out according to their work order received from JVD. The conversation between the Evander and the customer will be pressed into the position that the engineer has done as they were required to do, they have carried out the work as instructed, and that any dispute about the administration and processing of said work order is between the customer and JVD. On that basis, a customer is expected to sign off Evander’s work, even whilst complaining that the door hinges on the incorrect side. RE: your comment that you can see no record of there being any issue with the door reported until 16/10/2020 ... over 2 months from [the] install date of 30/07/2020. My communications up to this point were carried out by phone with (company staff) Regardless, the time it took me to write does not alter the impact of the issue on me and my domestic arrangements. RE: your comment that you disagree that JVD have not fulfilled the requirement that ‘reasonable care and skill must be used while working’ as per The Consumer Rights Act 2015, in that reasonable care and skills focuses on the way a service is carried out and not the end result: The fact that the administrative error occurred, in the processing of the information, provided by Evander to JVD following the survey, reflects a single lack of reasonable care in the way your service has been carried out: i.e. as per point. RE: your comment I stated that ‘it looks wonderful and has already made a fantastic difference to sound insulation and room temperature’...and that you believe...had the install not been completed with ‘care and skill’, room temperature and sound just two of the factors which would be negatively affected: these elements do not negate the error carried out by your administration team that resulted in the door being hinged on the wrong side. NB: I also have to point out I have never received a separate copy of your Terms, a Purchase Contract or Technical Survey with my payment of my invoice received last year. I hope that my responses, with your having entered into discourse at such a late point in this case, provide you with further relevant clarity. With regard to your approach to some form of resolution, I am interested in your offer as stated: 1 - To supply a replacement door for you, free of charge AND to offer you a further £50 toward the price of a local fitter. I have taken the time to compile a list of traders from ‘trust a trader’ local to yourself. and am in the process of contacting local contractors for a quote. However, I completely disagree that Just Value Doors will not be liable to replace and refit my door, free of charge, or to provide me with a 100% refund as I requested, and I am taking further advice on this aspect. I look forward to discussing this with you further. Final resolution (Which took over 10 months) from JVD was provision of replacement door and a refit arranged by myself from Coldseal Eco Upgrades - I remain totally grateful to Coldseal for their help and services. Update at 25/01/2022: reference number of final work order now provided to JVD to validate my review.
