Shortly afterwards, I used Macks to put into place a will for myself. The details were explained to my full understanding and efficiently put into place. Nov 18,2016I dealt with Amanda from start to finish and I found her and the entire team at Macks unbelievably helpful. Amanda dealt with my initial enquiry and from the outset, I knew she always had my best intentions in mind. The advice given was relevant, factual and specific to me and my needs. Amanda was always available to take my calls and always kept me up to date with the progress of my case. I would class my self as a very demanding client but felt that even on the tenth time of asking the same question Amanda was more than happy and patient enough to answer. I do hope that no one has to go to court to battle for custody of their child but if they do I couldn't recommend Macks and specifically Amanda more highly. I thank you for all your help.

Through such a traumatic experience, they supported me throughout and helped my little son go through a time I hoped he would never have to experience. Through professionalism, and experience, they helped and guided me through it all and I can honestly say my little boy has stayed the same little boy through this time due to them doing such a fantastic job. They made everything so easy and explained every step...even down to the judge commenting on how my solicitor had done such amazing work on my case and how he made his job so much easier. I cannot thank Mack Solicitors enough and would highly recommend them!

Nov 03,2016I chose Macks in part because of their rating on Trust Pilot. A mistake. I can only imagine that their accident claims department runs on a different ethos to their conveyancing. Communications were poor - both on telephone and email. Very rare to be able to get hold of someone on the phone, and promised calls back had to be chased, sometimes repeatedly. Emails simply ignored and chase-ups necessary. No sense of urgency and operate to their own timescales and do not allow themselves to be disturbed by customers' needs, and I am certainly not a needy customer! I did not feel customer service was any kind of priority for this firm. On a positive note, the fixed price quote was adhered to, and the charge for an abortive sale was reasonable. I would not, however, use again under any circumstances.

Oct 07,2016Residential sale+purchase conveyancing. Jane and team did a solid job in shorter-than-usual timescales - competent and efficient. Not quite top marks for two reasons: - They weren't as communicative as I would like. There were instances where I waited over a week for an answer to a simple yes/no question, despite an automatic response promising a response within 48 hours. (Part way through the process, they changed the automatic response to stop promising a timescale at all :-) I'll caveat that our transaction was in the run-up to the buy-to-let stamp duty change, and I've no doubt the team was unusually busy, but this should have been better. - There was an instance where I called asking to speak to Jane (solicitor) for some legal advice, and Lindsay (conveyancing assistant) handled my query herself rather than passing me on - but then I was told a few days later that the advice was incorrect, which cost us a bit as we'd already acted on it. I imagine Jane would have given me the correct advice first time, but alas the only time I actually spoke to her was the day of exchange. But this is NOT a negative review - those were two blemishes on an otherwise positive experience, thanks and well done.
