The course was so good as it gave me an insight into the path needed to get into medicine. My parents enjoyed the course too.
Very helpful and informative
it was very informative and helpful to learn about what is needed to become a doctor in the medicine conference.
Everyone was very amazing and supportive, incredible ressources and support
it was very informative and shown me and my dad what I personally need to start doing to have a greater chance of being accepted into a great university
Although the conference was long it was very informational every sentence was full of information, the only thing that threw me off was we only received 30 minutes worth of a break nothing more. Even then the conference was great, thank you medic mentor.
It was a very interesting and unique conference and we all really enjoyed it because it answered our questions and the doctors and mentors were really kind and caring and treated us like we were indeed deserving of getting into medical school! It was overall a totally worthwhile and exciting experience…..
Learning about writing a personal statement ,the method was really great .I now believe I can write a good personal statement using the CPS method .Above all I felt so encouraged by one the medical student ,who shared her story on how the medic mentor was of help and how she was involved in most of the medical related activities. The meeting was incredibly helpful and I also loved the breaks in between which made it possible to stay concentrated .I only had one question which I did not get an answer to
You could see how hard they worked to make this conference happen and the leaders were fully involved answering everyone's questions in debth making sure everyone could understand, showed examples and provided all the information.
Very informative, some new learnings and some reaffirmed what I already knew. The delivery of information and presentation was clear and helpful. Great that a clinician delivered the presentation, as that lived experience makes the session meaningful.
Concise presentation, succinct information. I found it most useful for my role supporting medical students. Our 6th Form is fairly small and we only have 1-2 students applying each year, so it was most useful to be able to add to the guidance that we give, especially around work experience and UCAT.
Interesting webinar for teachers but there were a few incorrect bits of information, which I put in the chat but this was ignored. If you get something wrong, please don't ignore it, own up to it or say that someone has raised a query and you'll fact check. I didn't really learn anything but I've been doing this for a long time and keep up to date with changes, however, for teachers who are just starting out, I'm sure it was really useful.
I had a great experience because, I was able to understand things I couldn't and I learnt from people's questions, I jotted down the points I knew were easy to forget and I know that I'll be able to put those knowledge I gathered into a practice I hope that the next set of people have a wonderful experience too
I really like the fact that they have explained everything in details which gave me a better idea on how things work. Furthermore, I really like how they let us ask questions and had the ability to answer every single questions confidently by also given us significant information.
It was fabulous
Good, very long, would prefer it to be spaced out
Very comprehensive and in depth view into the medicine application process. The call was a tad long but was really informative
Hi I’m a year 10 student who wants to be a doctor .This is a really useful and informative event it provided me with essential information on how to get into medical school which I did not know before and has helped me fill in spaces on my application and has opened a door to a wide range of opportunities to enhance my med school application . By attending the get into medical school conference your putting yourself one step ahead of all the other applicants increasing your chances to getting into med school and achieving your dreams as at the end you receive a highly comended certificated which is great for your CV and ticks if the objective of insight to medicine which medical schools require you to have . Not only this but joint medic mentor has lead me to take part in a wide range of activities to boost my application like the virtual medical work experience which is the same as in person work experience and is again amazing for your CV and has provided me a deeper insight to medicine . The conference talks about CRUCIAL information from grades to fees and extracurricular activities to inveriviews , UCAS and how to write a good personal statement and the great thing about this conference is it is coming from doctors and mentors who have been through this process and have seen many applications and are here to give the best advice . The conference is also a great chance to hear from successful students and their tips . The absolutely amazing thing is the conference provides you with the information and medic mentor helps you fill those gaps . You name it medic mentor has it . This sounds cliche but it’s NOT .
I found it very insightful, especially how they clearly go throught the steps on the medical application and how to succeed when aplying.
