Medic Mentor (part of Mentorverse LTD) is a social enterprise made up of a UK-wide network of doctors, medical students, secondary students, parents and teachers. We reinvest into a variety of effective educational, pastoral and extra-curricular activities that support the doctors of tomorrow. We believe that it is absolutely vital to ensure that the UK’s doctors are happy, healthy and successful, because this will ultimately have a positive impact on the health of the population. We aim to do this by connecting incredible mentors with incredible students using the power of mentoring. We need great doctors in our NHS now more than ever, and Medic Mentor is committed to supporting these future doctors with their applications and throughout medical school.

Aug 12,2024The atmosphere and how helpful the mentors were was great However especially in the latter half of the week we were sitting around doing nothing While waiting for personal statements to be signed off for example could have used that time to cover some current affairs/ wider reading/ taught interview skills

Aug 12,2024all of the mentors were very helpful and very kind, accommodation was comfortable however, not a great range in activities and ethics lectures could have been more in depth. a bit overpriced for what they offered but otherwise great experience

Aug 11,2024I attended the medic mentor summer school from the 6th-10th August 2024 and I am so grateful for getting the opportunity to be a part of such an immersive and supportive experience! The support they provide you with from creating an outstanding personal statement that I couldn’t be more proud of to gaining AMAZING wider reading from their very educational (and equally enjoyable) presentations medic mentor ticks off all my boxes for being an incredible organisation that genuinely saved my application!! It’s not just that but going to the summer school allowed me to meet remarkable people I would have never gotten the chance to speak to. And on top of that I’ve never had so much fun bettering my application which is so astonishing. From the bottom of my heart thank you so much medic mentor for everything this was the best way to spend a week of my summer :)

Aug 10,2024Cannot express this enough but we get so much support to the point that you might get sick of it - but on a serious note they help us so much, we get to finish our personal statements in 2-3 days and have an experience of doing interviews. Such a valuable experience!

Jul 22,2024It was really helpful, as finding advice tailored for going to uni, especially tailored for medical students by medical students can be harder to find,and the experience was invaluable. You were able to ask any questions you had, and all the panel were extremely informative and helpful. Highly recommend.

Aug 13,2024Helping with interviews and personal statement whilst consistently giving feedback was really helpful. The accomodation was better than I expected and the mentors were really polite in bringing us together as a group. At the end of the camp event, I felt like my vocabulary and way of thinking was improved. It was also nostalgic leaving summer camp, I would do it again.
