I wouldnt recommend using Metro Rod, their service is appalling, I had a guy called Darren turn up this afternoon, who was very late (4 and half hrs late) and there was no apologie, didn't even do his job as he was meant to go to 3 flats in our block and because he couldn't get into the first flat he went home and wasnt even at the block for 15 mins, didn't even let me know he had left. We managed to get hold of him, he came back in a mood, was incredibley rude, not a nice man, he personally made me feel very uncomfortable. Even the people in the office/customer service were rude, said my mate had been verbally abusive when he wasn't and actual fact it was the guy Darren was the one who had indecent behaviour, wouldn't let us speak, swore loads, very rude and stormed off. Darren is a very unpleasant man. I wouldn't even give them one star as they deserve 0! Terrible company....avoid at all costs.

Great service, came out spent 4 hours unblocking the drain. Used the pump to empty the drain then the hose to unblock the drain which was filled with concrete. They double checked with a camera to ensure it was fully cleared. The guys were great and very tenacious. Cleaned and tidied before they left… I’m a happy customer and would highly recommend Tyler, Andrew and Paul

So I used the South office and dealt with Kelly and Kirstry the two most rude and unprofessional people I have dealt with in a long time. They are a joke of a company to say the least. So called on Friday after dynorod couldn't do the job as needed to be in the evening due to parking restrictions (result of Sadiq Khan's brilliant cycle lanes!) And advised that we needed a machine drain flush ie the jet they run of the vans. They advised they couldn't come until Monday evening. Fine told on Monday they couldn't do a fix price they charge by the hour. I said OK bit please make sure you have the machine flush and not turn up with a plunger as our plumber already spent four hours already trying to unblock it. MONDAY they were a no show. They said there was a system glitch. Lies but anyhoo they said they will come Tuesday definitely. OK now Tuesday a guy turns up with a handheld plunger and so we rightly refused to let him to do anything as we said very clearly we wanted a machine flush. Oh sorry that's another team it will have to be rebooked but dont worry its a two minute job with the machine flush. Next day after a number of emails told to go away or pay three times more the original estimate of 95+vat for the first hour. Absolute scam of a company and full of rude igotistical individuals who should be a little bit more cautious how they deal with people as you never quite now what connections your customer may have in your industry. I will definitely be mindful of keeping an eye out for these bandits in my day job now as I have seen how much of a rip off they are and tried to recoup there failings at the expense of the customer. Cannot recommend and terrible behaviour. This is a cost crisis so shame on you metrorod!

We had an upstairs toilet that was leaking into the lounge! Metro Rod sent two plumbers Mick and Dan to sort it. They did an excellent job. All mess was cleared up and the toilet is in proper working order. Thank you.

Absolutely shocking behaviour by not just head office staff but by my local depo staff to. Compulsive liars and racist to. Unprofessional, rude and disgraceful bunch of human beings. I will never use this company again. Put a complaint into head office and the customer care team were useless they wouldn't even let me speak to a manager. They don't care how they treat there paying customers. They think swearing, shouting and belittling customers is acceptable. The manager who i spoke woth at mh local depo was a bloke and he thinks its ok to threaten and intimidate a women shame on you ! No doubt has little man syndrome ! Wouldn't even give you 1 star for service if give you 0 stars.

Avoid these jobsworths like the plague. I needed someone to visit my home to replace a pump in my wet room. One of their guys telephoned me on Tuesday morning to confirm he would be attending on Thursday morning. Thursday morning came and went so I rang them at lunchtime, only to be told the job had been cancelled and nobody had bothered to inform me. Is it really so hard to pick up the telephone and spend 30 seconds informing a customer of where they stand? Useless bunch of cowboys.

I booked for Thursday pm. They failed to show up. After multiple missed calls both ways I spoke to the local (Guildford) manager was promised the first appointment on Friday. No one came. I made multiple calls and left voice mails on Friday and have had no visit, no apology no communication. In despair I booked Dyno rod who turned up as promised next working day.

Metro Rod were called out as emergency response by our insurance company. They arrived quickly and were polite and friendly and then proceeded with a PROFESSIONAL CON to fleece out of £800. It started with the engineer making the problem worse by increasing the flooding in our home. He then told us he couldn't proceed without help from a 'Tanker' to drain the standing water. He said that the cost would not be covered by our insurance and it would cost us £800 or more. He told us he's do it for £400 as a 'special favour'. We said we would need a quote to take to our insurance company before we could proceed. He initially said he would, but then said his 'reporting system' was broken... He then left saying he'd make a report when he got 'signal'. And out us on the phone to his call centre who repeated that the insurance company would not cover the works. His report to our insurance company stated the job was completed, but he told us if we called him later and paid he could come back and complete the work with an expensive tanker. IN FACT the drain was a THAMES WATER drain and we were not liable for it AT ALL! We contacted Thames Water's emergency response team and once they arrived they sorted the blockage within 10mins FOR FREE! They said the engineer would have known that it was a Thames water drain immediately and this was a common scam. AVOID. AVOID.AVOID.

Had my toilet repaired....then went to the bathroom last nite to be greeted by loads of water on the floor it turns out the guy somehow had knocked the water pipe and had started leaking now waiting on a emergency plumber through my housing association totally pissed off now

St. Ives cambs. Came out to fix a drain. I have no idea what they were thinking but they used a branch to fish out the blockage rather than professional equiptment, which they then left covered in waste in the yard. They also left a waste covered plastic glove on my wheelie bin. The whole yard is covered in tissue and waste.

Had these guys come and unblock my bath and bathroom sink. Chris the engineer was brilliant! He knew exactly what to do after asking a few questions. I would highly recommend them.

Metro Plumb North east, Philip Reynolds and Luke…please avoid them. Total lack of work ethics and morals, “I don’t care attitude”. Honestly, do your searches first and seek for an honest contractor or you will regret!

I had a Metro Rod guy out yesterday to sort out a blocked toilet, one of the nicest guys I've dealt with, friendly, helpful and kind. Got the problem sorted for me, left no mess at all. I don't know his name but he's a credit to Metro Rod.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! The worst company I have ever dealt with. Did half a job and charged me for the full job. The staff don’t understand what the company does and they don’t give you all the information before booking a job in. I was harassed by staff on the phone, specifically Kevin, when I challenged that they hadn’t done the work. Kevin is nasty, argumentative and down right rude. I contacted the MD, Peter Molloy, and customer services and they didn’t care. AVOID AVOID AVOID! (I had to put one star to be able to leave the review but I didn’t want to give any!)

Did not show up for appointment and didn't even notify me they weren't going to turn up. Proceeded to try multiple times to reschedule, but they either took weeks to reply or didn't reply at all. Would avoid.

Metro Rod Cumbria recently installed a new drainage field for our septic tank. First class job at a very reasonable price, compared with another so-called 'specialist company' who were clearly trying to rip us off. Excellent service from Steven and his team and I would highly recommend.
