Feb 15,2025Left litter email to company ignored. After drain was worked on litter was left on departure. Contacted the company via their online form but no response. Phoned the company to speak with someone but they couldn't account for the form not being responded to. On hold for 10 minutes to speak with a human and then another 5 to speak to a manager.

Feb 12,2025We had overflowing gutters one of the team came out with a gutter vac and done a professional job and left no mess after the job was completed a very well manned chap who explained exactly what he was going to do very highly recommended company

Feb 12,2025Abysmal service. Sewage everywhere and the drain was ‘unblocked’ but apparently there is another blockage so more work will have to take place - who knows how much that will cost! After the drain was unblocked (well done you get a gold star!!) and the water inside the drain went down a bit, the worker then started to clean up or so I thought..! A little bit of a spray around with a tiny jet wash, some sewage was swapt back into the sewer and the rest was then pushed into another drain and into the bushes. This is a serious health hazard as the area has not been sufficiently cleaned. More care was given to cleaning his tools than cleaning the area. I’m horrified by the lack of care and the lack of proper disinfecting of the area. I have been in touch with environmental health and the water company and they have both said that what was done is wholly inadequate and very unsafe and unsanitary. I have also been looking online for what should’ve been used and every thing I see suggests a jet wash just simply isn’t good enough. Even the water company said the chemicals they use kill all vegetation nearby so why are the plants here still standing - oh because they have been given some extra (human) manure. Left with an inaccessible area due to Metro Rod’s incompetence and worrying lack of hygiene.

Feb 12,2025These guys were hired by Ocean Housing to look at the problem I had with my toilet. They found the pipe in the manhole was broken and had dropped down causing a blockage. Well done to them.

Jan 08,2025Excellent service for badly blocked drain. Mark arrived within the hour (a competitor had a lead time of a week!) Discussed the issue with me and got straight to it. Was kind enough to advise my elderly neighbour about a broken soil pipe as we found out she had been taken for a ride by another plumber. Excellent service. Will use again.

Dec 31,2024Do not depend upon this company in an emergency situation, or for any other requirement. We had an emergency situation (blocked toilet flue) and was visited by two personable but ultimately helpless ‘technicians’, who left without fixing the problem. They promised to escalate the matter. Then nothing. On the third day, after multiple calls to a ansaphone, we got though, only to be told to expect a ‘technician’ in 5 DAYS TIME. I suspect the deep rot within this company to be primarily at managerial and systematic level, a decay which can extend to ‘technicians’, who may or may not have any competency. AVOID THIS GROUP. ===============

Dec 29,2024I called Metro Rod at 10am and one of the engineers turned up at 1pm to do the work. The engineer, Vince, did a great job and throughout was very informative and went above and beyond in making sure he did the best he could for me. He is a great employee. The price I was charged for the work was highly competitive, give them a chance to quote and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
