They took a while to come out as it was raining a lot and everyone was calling about their drains. But the engineer that came was totally amazing. Fixed the issue straight away and then provided a diagnosis of some issues for United Utilities. Top rate!

Called out metro rod 3 times in 3 weeks due to a blocked drain from kitchen sink to septic tank about 4 metres. Turned up on wrong day initially but paid £114.Following week same problem but after negotiation paid another £57. Called out again this week where a large fat ball was removed that had obviously been there a long time and charged over £100 again. Should have happened first time!!

This feedback is for Metro Rod Southeast. Metro Rod was a claimed from my home emergency, L&G insurance. I like to say “Thankyou” to the lovely lady (I am sorry I didn’t asked for your names) that has answered my calls. She sounds so lovely. She was calm, patient, bubbly and polite. Jack was sent to my home to resolves the blockage (T-junction) from the outflows from the sink and the washing machine. I dreaded using my washing machine, every time I used the machine, the water outlet would overflowed onto the kitchen floor. Hip hip horays! No more wet kitchen floor when the washing machine is in used. Jack, thankyou! For me, Jack is very thorough and he is determined to unblock the blockages. He went above and beyond. Metro Rod is very lucky to have these conscientious employees. I am sure it cannot be easy during these difficult (Covid) times. However, to have received a professional and knowledgeable happy plumber like Jack is a relief. I highly recommend Metro Rod (Southeast) and should you need a plumber, I hope Jack is sent to you.

Our Emergency Insurance Service called out Metro Rod to our blocked kitchen sink. Bryan was our drainage engineer and he was professional and knowledgeable. He very ably cleared our blockage and left our property in a clean and tidy condition. Thank you, a very unpleasant job.

Re the Cardiff/Newport service on 01495 305578 for Metrorod. Rang Friday in a panic for a blocked drain and got promised the next day between 12 and 2. Turned up the next day on time and worked hard to remove the blockage successfully. Nicely efficient on the phone making the arrangements and afterwards in making the payment. A fine example of a professional company.

Absolutely shocking service. Metro rod replaced a working and undamaged piece of soil pipe and then filled in the hole, further CCTV evidenced they hadn’t fixed the repair and the repair had been completed incorrectly with the pipe connector blocking the pipe. They returned and dug everything up again and said it was done. Two days later all the stones left in the pipe created another blockage further down the line. Additional cost to get it unblocked. Guy sent to fix the repair had been informed to drag the job out to justify the cost. Tarmac used for repairing driveway was only suitable for small pot holes and not large areas. No surprise that the area repaired now sunk. Please shop around and don’t use Metro rod, worst experience of my life and nobody willing to discuss the issue either.

We had a new domestic sewage treatment plant an soakaway installed. Metro Rod Swansea were not only great value but did what they said they would do at the price they quoted and within the requested timeframe. We couldn’t be happier. Thank you Metro Rod!!! Very highly recommended

Can you please do the people of Trethomas a favour and tell the driver of LC70VXL to stop driving over and cutting up the turf of the common green space? Given the amount of money spent on regular upkeep and maintenance of the green so that it can be enjoyed by the residents and children of Trethomas it would be much appreciated.

Outstanding customer service. This was arranged through my insurance company and Metro Rod contacted me almost immediately and the plumber arrived within the specified time. He fully investigated the problem, took the time to speak to one of his colleagues and was able to fix the leak the same day. Thank you so much for the great service.

Came to unblock soil pipe in the upstairs flat used a chain device which then broke our soil pipe causing our kitchen to be flooded with sewage and everything that goes with it denied that they had caused it by saying our pipe had been leaking for some time so how come haven't had anything like this before re update customer care have resolved our problem by the way of compensation for the flooring

AVIID AVOID AVOID TERRIBLE COMPANY Terrible company no manners and had nothing but problems with them they had to come back after fitting a pump that was cheap and would not work avoid this company there definitely NOT value for money

Richard and his team came to an emergency toilet blockage. I found them very professional, smart and very enthusiastic to get the job done. It was a big job! I cannot fault the work carried out and most of all, I was impressed with the great teamwork and friendliness of all the team. I would highly recommend them. I have been 7 weeks without the shower draining properly (lots of paddling has been going on). Various plumbers have been out with one of them saying I needed a new bathroom. John from Metro Rod Exeter Branch came out and within half an hour or so had fixed the problem. He was really good, efficient, knowledgeable.

I had a leak from my bathroom into my kitchen. All plumbers were busy. I contacted Bard online and Metro Rod answered. I told them I lived in an old Victorian house with old plumbing and was told not a problem. A pleasant young 8 months qualified plumber turned up the next day and found the leak which was between a lead and copper pipe. He had never worked with lead and would not repair in fact I was told Metro Rod would not deal with lead. He charged £165 to tell me I had a leak but he could not repair it or advise me of anyone who could. Do not use this company if you live in an old property. A local plumber fixed it in a day ……. And did not understand why a newly qualified plumber could not have done. The experienced plumber charged £135. Update . So I received this request for details from MetroRod so they could look into my case! No reply to my details and it is now July 18th!! Avoid this company

Following a bad experience with another drainage company a couple of years ago who caused damage and then denied responsibility, I was recommended Metro Rod (Bristol) to empty a septic tank by my neighbour who had used them. I'm pleased to say they were very professional, turned up when they said they would, did a first class job, were very polite, (that impressed my wife), and were reasonably priced.I can thoroughly recommend them and I will be using them again in the future.

Outstanding customer service, Ricki, the service engineer told us exactly what he was going to do and kept us informed at every step of the works, he was very thourough and found the blockage and descaled the remaining pipes whilst there, Ricki was very Knowledgeable and his customer service skills were impeccable, he tided up after he had finished and was very pleasant to chat to, a very refreshing experience and would highly recommend using this service again, many thanks, cheers.

They are totally useless, they were asked to visit my property to find leak near the bath tub, plumber did not even bother to take off side panel of bath tub (which was not tiled and could be easily taken off) and said we need leak detection. I contacted leak detection company, they were advising that I should not need leak detection as normal plumber should be able to fix it, plumber from metro rod came 3 times but couldn't do anything, so I decided to call leak detection anyways and paid them 500 pounds, they were able to find a leak within 2 min behind the side panel.
