Also available in Pink Grapefruit and Sloe and Bramble editions, in our custom designed, environmentally friendly bottle. Nunton Steadings Built way back in the 1700s, the beautifully historic Nunton Steadings building is the place we call home. Situated in Benbecula, right at the heart of island life, it’s where we proudly bring Whisky production back to our islands. Currently under restorations work, our B-listed building is undergoing some loving attention to bring it back to bustling island life. I wasn’t sure I could get it in time before they were due to leave, but was absolutely delighted when it arrived just 2 days later. North Uist Distillery have made two Swedish travellers very happy!

Jul 15,2023Having visited the distillery and tasted their gin, I had to order a bottle when I returned home to London. The blue bottle is literally the best gin I have ever tasted. The bottle arrived promptly and safely ( very good recyclable cardboard packaging) and is very good value considering the quality and the distance it travelled to get to me! I will be ordering regularly - and will be trying the other gins from the North Iist distillery too.

Jul 14,2023Our guide for the afternoon was knowledgeable and friendly. She gave us an interesting tour and history of the site and outlined future plans. She also talked well about the various gin varieties. The tasters were generous and attractively laid out with garnishes. Everything felt very relaxed. A great way to spend an afternoon!

Jul 11,2023Definitely one of my favourite gin producers! I don't drink flavoured gins as I find them too sweet for my taste. The exceptions are Downpour Sloe & Bramble and Downpour Pink Grapefruit. They are delicious! So if you're like me and don't 'do' flavoured then be brave and try these - you won't be disappointed 😌 We are regular visitors to the Uists and always visit the distillery. Last visit was April this year. I love the fact you can take an empty bottle and get it refilled with a discount AND fevertree tonics thrown in!! My most recent interaction was an online purchase as obviously needed to replenish since April🙂 All in all a brilliant enterprise and I wish them all the best in their future endeavours!! Jul 11,2023Downpour Gin is my absolute favourite gin, especially the Coast & Croft and the Pink one - so whenever I am in the UK, I have to stock up on it. Imagine my surprise when the bottle arrived within only 3 days - from North Uist to Shetland. That´s just amazing. It even included a lovely handwritten note!
