Nunton Steadings Built way back in the 1700s, the beautifully historic Nunton Steadings building is the place we call home. Situated in Benbecula, right at the heart of island life, it’s where we proudly bring Whisky production back to our islands. Currently under restorations work, our B-listed building is undergoing some loving attention to bring it back to bustling island life. Holiday to South Uist booked at the end of May, cannot wait to book onto the distillery tour, hopefully meet Kate & Jonny in person.

We are treated like a friend from Kate and Jonny, with a written thankyou note everytime we purchase a bottle. We now wont buy Gin from anywhere else as my wife, (Lynette) just loves Downpour Gin taste. I myself cant wait for the whisky, because I will be buying that from North Uist Distillery also. All because of the great friendly service.

The gin wonderful with a distinctive terroir - I first sampled it on a cycle trip up the Hebridean Way and the taste of the gin takes me back immediately to the crisp, clear salt air mingling with the scents of the machair. The service from the guys and gals at North Uist is exemplary, from the speedy delivery of beautifully wrapped bottles to the handwritten cards that make you feel a special friend, the whole operation reflects the open friendliness of the people of the Western Isles.
