Also available in Pink Grapefruit and Sloe and Bramble editions, in our custom designed, environmentally friendly bottle. Nunton Steadings Built way back in the 1700s, the beautifully historic Nunton Steadings building is the place we call home. Situated in Benbecula, right at the heart of island life, it’s where we proudly bring Whisky production back to our islands. Currently under restorations work, our B-listed building is undergoing some loving attention to bring it back to bustling island life. Jul 08,2023Uist is my sanctuary. Whilst staying on Grimsay, Nick told us about his son and daughter in law setting up a Gin business. That was a good few years ago. Now every year a trip to the gin palace is a must. The gin wasn’t my cup of tea. Not a gin fan. Until I had a grapefruit gin at the bar last May. Wow, how did you manage that! These lovely people have a great product, ethos and add to the islands beauty. Can’t wait for the next newsletter. See you again next year.

Jul 04,2023Amazing company to buy from. Cheaper than anywhere else I found online even with postage, dispatch was super quick and delivery faster than estimated. Beautifully packaged with some thoughtful inclusions and fully recyclable packaging. The design of the bottle is beautiful and iconic. The bottle of bramble and sloe Downpour gin is a gift so I can’t comment on its taste yet but I have heard many good things which is why I chose to purchase from North Uist Distillery.

Jun 06,2023Booked the gin tasting/tour while I was over on the island today, I was driving but still absolutely felt included in the tasting (plus I got a driver's pack of two minis and two tonics to take away so didn't miss out on the gin). They were really knowledgeable and both the small tour of the building with it's history and the tasting itself were super interesting! Would highly recommend if you're down that way!
