Nunton Steadings Built way back in the 1700s, the beautifully historic Nunton Steadings building is the place we call home. Situated in Benbecula, right at the heart of island life, it’s where we proudly bring Whisky production back to our islands. Currently under restorations work, our B-listed building is undergoing some loving attention to bring it back to bustling island life. Lovely bottle ..and brilliant gin. we've just had a glass tonight..even though it's not yet the weekend! Flavour superb...and your going to make whisky...pity it takes so long to mature!!! keep up the good work.

May 05,2022I fell in love with Uist on a visit for a week in 2021. The island life is stunning, unique and warms the heart. Downpour is quite literally, island life distilled. Beautifully smooth with interesting botanics giving its unique taste, I fell in love with this gin too. Thankfully ordering it online couldn't be easier. The stunning blue bottle comes carefully packaged with lovely personal touches and I look forward to bringing it with me to have it refilled next time I visit. The subtely flavoured pink grapefruit gin is reminiscent of summers evenings and the negroni has a sultry grown-up feel, all very different but equally worthwhile giving a go.

May 05,2022Wow, wow, WOW! What a fabulous gin Downpour is! When holidaying on North Uist late in 2021, we happened upon a bottle in a tiny shop and thought we'd buy it so as to support the local community. The flavour of the gin totally exceeded our expectations, quite frankly, it blew me away! I love gin and a good tasting gin too. Downpour gin is bright in flavour, strangely cloudy in the glass, full of beautiful botanicals and so flavoursome (I can taste the heather) that I choose to drink it neat, chilled in the fridge, with piece of frozen lemon and a little sprig of French heather from my garden. We have since bought our second bottle and I'm now sorely tempted by your Negroni - my current favourite cocktail! Love the beautiful packaging, postcard from Kate and Jonny, the ideal serve ideas and, oh yes, the gin!!!!

May 05,2022This is a truly wonderful gin, following a few days on Uist I knew I had found my new favourite. Customer service was excellent and the speed of delivery when purchasing is excellent, perfect serve and cocktail information together with beautiful and fully recyclable packaging. I have tried with lemon but my preference is lime and rosemary. For special occasions the recommended garnish is to add heather, don't wait for a special occasion, have a glass of Downpour and celebrate life.
