Very poor after sales. Bought an approved used car which was under 3 years old. Noticed an unusual noise coming from air vents on the first day. Went to get the car checked at a different dealer which was closer to me. They did the diagnostics and said there was no gas in the air con, no leaks or faults in the system, and that it wasn't covered under BMW approved used warranty. I had to pay the diagnostics and re-gassing bill which came to 374. This was within 3 weeks of me having the car. I asked Ocean BMW Plymouth for reimbursement since the car should've had gas in the air con when they sold it as an Approved Used Car. They refused to reimburse any costs and claimed the car had been checked when it was sold. This is really disappointing as I believed an approved used car should've come fully tested and I shouldn't have to get it fixed at my own expenses within firat 3 weeks of owning it.

All is great until BMW delay the delivery by 2 months, this is where my relationship with Plymouth Ocean BMW has gone from good to great. They know what I was up against and the impact of not having the car as my previous BMW had gone. They put measures in place to allow me to stay mobile and how they did this simply blows me away, it’s influenced so many people to comment on incredible service. All I can say is that you can go to shiny big dealerships but you will not get the service that Ocean deliver time and time again. I say this from experience and don’t hesitate to walk in as whoever you see will look after you. I made an online enquiry for a BMW 2 series Grand Coupe for my Wife, late on a Saturday evening, I received a Saturday evening response, Sunday follow up and all the information I could then need over the course of the next few days to secure the purchase of the car in March 2021. The integrity of the Sales Team was brilliant, the communication excellent throughout as this was carried out at distance and during the Covid pandemic. The handover was excellent and car set up perfectly. Having bought many BMW’s from across the UK this is a great dealership.

May 26,2022In June 2021 I had the soft top motor replaced by ocean bmw in Paignton at great expense because I was moving house and had no alternative. They did this but damaged the roof lining. I was promised that this was on order and would be replaced within six weeks. I explained to them that I had moved to North Wales. They assured me that that was not a problem. Despite numerous phone calls and messages I have had no further contact from them. I am totally disgusted with the lack of any service.
