I have had the pleasure in dealing with Ocean BMW Paignton for the last 20 years where I used to take my company cars there for servicing and more recently (4 years) purchasing my own since opting out and also buying my wife a car too. The customer service from Gareth and his team is fantastic ! Jermaine Crewes has looked after me for a majority of my cars and his attention to detail from the start to finish is just many of the reasons why I stay with the Brand. The team in Paignton from front of house to the guys in the service team are such a joy to deal with. I won’t go anywhere else !!!

I've never had a problem with Ocean BMW. I've been using them for years. The engineers know their stuff, and the customer service is always friendly and helpful. I can't complain. The negative reviews posted here do not represent any experience I have had. Sure, they are not the cheapest garage in Devon ... it's a BMW garage; what do you expect? They have always been open and honest with their pricing to me, and generally, their quotes have been below what I would have expected to pay an official BMW dealership. I'm happy to know my BMW is always in safe hands at Ocean.

Bought my BMW new from them 5 or 6 years ago now. Use them for servicing and tyres. Great car, good deal, great place to wait for servicing. Ace coffee :) Friendly helpful knowledgable staff. Make you feel welcome and valued. Highly professional. Bought my car and use for servicing Ocean Falmouth but also visited Ocean Plymouth or was it Exeter on one of they're M days. Same culture. Great fun. Definitely recommend Ocean BMW

Went into Ocean 3 weeks ago to have a look at a IX3 and was offered good service by their sales rep' who offered me an immediate test drive of circa 30 mins. I was very pleased as i didn't expect this opportunity. I was booked in for another longer test drive the following Saturday to check the range. When i arrived, all my details were taken and keys handed over and went to the car to find the car had not been charged, it only had 83 miles charge. The whole point of the test drive was to see how it would go on a full charge (as explained the previous weekend) on a motorway to see if i could get a 200 miles or so from the battery. I have done a similar test drive with Audi and Jaguar, but i prefer the BMW! They did say i could charge it somewhere but as i pointed out that would take circa 3 hours, due to charging points in Cornwall... After several apologies i was rebooked in for a 3rd test drive the following Saturday after having to rescheduling a few things. When arriving at Ocean i received a call from them which i missed as i was speaking to the receptionist and when i spoke to Sales Manager i was told the car had been charged this week, but the test drive was double booked with another couple. The sales manager blamed the sales rep' that was off sick that day saying it wasn't booked in (even though she confirmed it with me before i left the previous week) and offered a minimal apology at best (shrug of his shoulders). 'Can we book you in again', this would have been a 4th weekend i needed to arrange things around a test drive and when i asked whether he could rearrange the other couples test drive (given they had already let me down before) rather than mine he blankly refused. Its as if they don't work in customer service at this dealership and they don't seem to train their staff. Most dealerships send you a confirmation of a booking or even dare i say call you the day before to confirm. Bear in mind this is supposed to be a premium brand, you would imagine the service would be of similar quality. Clearly not at Ocean! Avoid it if possible..

Thoroughly deserve the poor rating from Trustpilot. The service manager at Falmouth called Monty is a fraud. He told me at MOT I needed 4 new tyres . I did not trust him. Took it for a second opinion at other BMW dealer and a Kwickfit. Both told me unlikely need changing before next MOT. Will be reporting BMW Ocean Falmouth to trading standards and possibly the police. Untrustworthy.

WHY OH WHY CAN'T WE LEAVE A NEGATIVE STAR?!?!? This is a review of MY personal experience with MINI and is my own genuine experience in dealing with them. Absolutely awful customer services - in fact MINI UK have a terrible attitude to their loyal customers - My daughter bought a car with 100 mile on the clock - reached 21k miles (few months out of warranty during covid...) and BOOM! CLUTCH WENT!!!! Their attitude tough - not our responsibility not covered under warranty - so no offer of a goodwill payment towards new one which cost £1k - astonishing would NEVER NEVER NEVER deal with or recommend these people - Been messed around for months by them and they wanted £140 plus to examine the car AFTER saying they wouldn't help anyway - what sort of service is that? NONE

Popped into my local BMW motorcycle showroom (Plymouth) branch with the intention of buying a GS 1200. After being introduced to a bike, 20 minutes later, I requested a test ride on the bike at the soonest availabe slot. Having looked over the bike, that was'nt even advertised on their website, I expressed my interest to RICHARD (salesmam) and explained that I was a cash buyer. I asked if they would wait until completion of my test ride, before I made my purchase. I received a call from RICHARD (Salesman) this morning, telling me not to bother coming in for the test ride on Monday as we have sold the bike. I had full intensions of paying the asking price, however, for them to sell without even a test ride to someone else, really grips my bottom. Unprofessional, money grabbing and no customer service what so ever, unless you are buying a new BMW cash. Sad...

Shocked at the appalling treatment I personally witnessed by Falmouth Ocean of a fellow BMW driver. As a long time Ocean BMW car buyer and always main dealer service I have totally lost all faith and respect in BMW Ocean Falmouth. Having now read the reviews on here it appears I am not the only one. They must be doing so well that they can loose so much business.

Brought my BMW in after the rear suspension failed. Ocean BMW ran a full diagnostics check and found a leak in one of the rear suspension air bags. Recommended both be changed because the other was on the way out. But, nothing wrong with the compressor. After getting a ridiculously high quote I paid for the diagnostics and opted to get the car trailered to an independent garage for the repairs. They checked everything again while I was there and the compressor was not working. I phoned Ocean and asked to talk to the mechanic that had done the diagnostic tests but was not allowed. The service guy said the compressor must have failed immediately after it was tested. Well that is one interpretation. So if I'd left the car for them to repair I would have got a phone call informing me of the defunct compressor (and the new ££££ bill) while the car was in pieces at Ocean. Lucky escape!

Its a shame that the lowest star rating you can give is 1. Took my wife MINi to Ocean Mini as the alarm was going off randomly but without the hazards flashing. Ocean ran a diagnostics and told me that the tilt switch in the alarm unit was faulty and would have to be replaced. £380 later, yes, you guess it, the alarm started to sound randomly and would not switch off. Back to Ocean Mini where they ran diagnostics again and this time stated that it was the JBE (Junction Box electronics) in the drivers footwell. All needed to be replaced as although no signs of water ingress, there was corrosion, and the cost would be £700. When I asked for them to simply disable the alarm sounder/system whilst I reflected on their diagnostics, I was told that couldn't be done as it would affect other circuits. When I queried "couldn't they just pull the relevant fuse" the response was "Oh yes that would work" Sent them an email complaint and was told that I would get a response a week ago - still waiting. I ask for copies of the three diagnostic tests undertaken - nothing. It seems that OCEAN BMW simply replace part after part until the problem is solved, and all at the customers cost and £180 per hour - my lawyer doesn't charge me that much! Will never ever buy another BMW or BMW mini again

It's a pity that Amit Jain & Mr D G did not read, or heed, my 1st August 2019 1-Star review that forewarned of this unscrupulous dealership. It is unfortunate that they have both recently experienced the same mercenary money grabbing ploys used by the ruthless staff that I did. Worse still, is if you complain direct to the Ocean BMW Group Managing Director, he refutes all allegations, supports his staff & responds with a mendacious defence. Therefore, all prospective OCEAN BMW/OCEAN MINI customers beware.

Rang them for the first ever time for a fault check on my Mini which apparently is a know issue with my year make. I have a 'TLC' package on my mini and despite these two factors, they want £125 for just to have a look!! I am on my third mini, they are fun to drive but poor reliability and even worse service from the like of 'Ocean Plymouth', will force me to a different car for my next one :-(

I don’t know really where to start this review But here goes Couple of weeks ago we had really bad weather I.e rain rain rain Suddenly the boot of my car is full of water, the rear seats folded down was dripping with water, the well where you would have a spare tyre normally was full of water . I approached BMW Ocean in Plymouth and explained what has happened Response! Book it in and we will investigate the problem for you . I took vehicle with photographic evidence and video footage of the problem ( I was given car to use why vehicle was in there hands) 1st call after leaving car with them : we think the water is coming in from the spoiler on the tailgate of car which is not standard fit for by BMW Response from me : I bought the vehicle from BMW it was x demonstrator, and it had spoiler on when I bought it,they could find that the vehicle they have in there hands is the vehicle sold to me from BMW the spoiler was not added at a later date by me . 2nd call from Ocean Plymouth, we cant seem to find where the water is coming in and as it’s under manufactures warranty and they can’t find anything they may have to charge me, Response and thoughts from me :at this point Iam thinking there is a fault there not acknowledging it and trying to fob me off, I told the guy on phone If there is going to be any charge to me I must be informed before and work goes ahead , and told them I would not be paying for anything . I wasn’t informed 3rd call from Ocean BMW Plymouth When you had you dash cam fitted the cable is on the rubber of tailgate this is probable cause (now they can’t blame the spoiler factory fitted on tailgate for leakage they are trying to use a different tactic ) And there is a bill to be paid of 5 hours at £180 per hour I told the caller that I would not be paying anything to Ocean BMW Plymouth, his response was I can fully understand, and told me he would pass my response to head sales man. 4th call from BMW Plymouth Head man comes on phone explains that they have had car under water test for 4 hours continuous water flowing on vehicle ( car came out as dirty as it went in ) they have taken all carpets up no water no damp nothing,he says because there is nothing found they cannot claim the money from BWW but can discount my payment to them I told him Iam not paying anything and that I told the guy on the phone on the 2 call (He then said to me we have recorded that conversation and that the guy on the second call had told me I would have to pay (he never informed me on any call as I had previously told him to tell me if there was going to be any cost to me ) I told this to the sales man who disagreed with me I ended the call by saying I will go to the showroom to see him. I arrived at show room and seen the original guy who booked me in , I asked him did you call me and tell me there would be a cost to me for work carried out (answer was NO) he then went into office and spoke with sales man. I was I invited to office was told they could not find any fault at all and that was probably caused by cable from dash cam ( poor excuse and not credible ) after brief discussion I was told there would be no charge and left . I picked keys up and returned their car Driver brought vehicle out and apologised that they didn’t have time to clean it : considering it had been under water test for 4 hours , I wait for my next experience with Ocean in Plymouth once bad weather comes In again What a joke , they are just out to make money from people who do not challenge them Once warranty is gone on car I certainly would not deal with them.

Avoid Ocean BMW Repair Centre. They returned the car dirty inside out, with a few scratches and no respect for the customer. Workmanship was also poor, as a component is poorly fitted ie not flush to the bodywork. It was a waste of time speaking to the manager, who couldn’t be bothered to apologise but kept trying to pass the book.

Whilst on holiday at my parents in Paignton i took my car to Ocean Torbay to have the EGR cooler replaced as required by a vehicle recall from BMW. Whilst carrying out the above repair they damaged an engine sensor. Ocean have refused to accept any responsibility for the damage they have caused, the sensor was replaced, with no cost to me, by my local BMW dealer Knights South in Stafford Staffordshire. I was considering buying a new 4 series from Ocean, rest assured they will never get any business from me again and I advise others to think twice too.
