Feb 13,2023Unfortunately terrible delivery service. I ordered a chess board two weeks ago, and last whole weeks my chess could not be delivered to my place at all. I kept waiting but the courier just said no one was available at home. Now it’s the third week and I still haven’t received my item, but the Staunton company now wants me to review this purchase? How can I say? Item is hard to review because I haven’t received, but the delivery by ParcelForce is definitely terrible, cheers. PS. I did not insist on delivering to another alternate address, for the third time, I have been requesting for delivering to post office for collection, but the Delivery is still trying to deliver to my address. Don’t believe the reply from the seller, if you check the review record, there are already other two customers complaining about the delivery. Follow up: the chess board finally arrived, the quality is nice, so I have increased the review from 1 star to 3 stars, although it could have been 5 stars if the delivery was decent. I don’t have to lie, the good chess board is indeed good in quality, but the terrible delivery is indeed terrible.

Feb 01,2023Lovely looking pieces, but the white king had way too much glue on the felt, which meant it stood at a 20 degree angle. Had to refelt it myself, which I shouldn't have to do. Glue was also showing around the base. Some of the other pieces had some strange yellow material in the felt, which I again had to correct. Sloppy!

Jan 31,2023I ordered a stunning chess set from the company and it arrived in amazing condition, exactly as pictured on the advert. Unfortunately, after only a few days, I managed to drop two of the pieces from height onto a solid floor and damaged two of the wooden pieces. I emailed the company and asked whether it would be possible to purchase the pieces individually and they immediately sent two out to me without question. It's rare to find such quality service from companies these days, but I'm very happy to say that the Official Staunton still provides it. Thank you so much!!!

Jan 23,2023Excellent service from Official Staunton. Just a few days from date of ordering to delivery. The 3inch chess pieces ordered were perfect for the size of my chessboard. Unfortunately two of the pieces were not up to the standard expected, but a short email and photos to Staunton and the pieces were replaced within a few days without question. Thank you Staunton for your excellent service.

Jan 14,2023Unfortunately the White Queen has a chunk out of the collar and the same damage is also seen below in the body Not sure how it passed quality inspection I haven’t bothered checking the other pieces except a pawn and rook that were undamaged I was so looking forward to giving this as a wedding present.

Jan 14,2023I bought a chess board and chess pieces this week which were delivered within 48 hours, unfortunately one corner of the board was damaged I emailed them, sent a picture of the damage and the very next morning a replacement was delivered. First class customer service

Jan 12,2023Bought a chess set as a Xmas gift back in August but did not check it at the time. When opening at Xmas one item was damaged but on contacting seller they generously replaced the faulty item within 48 hours. Cannot fault this customer service and would buy again.
