Aug 20,2022The chess set arrived well packaged. It is beautiful. Everything I expected from it. The reason I have given 4 stars is because the wooden storage box is not perfect. The key lock is not on straight and the key is a poor fit. There is also a small chip on the box. Apart from that, my husband loves his Xmas present

I reported an issue to them about a piece lacking magnetic adhesion and a small stain type mark on a white square on a set that was for a birthday present. They had organised a replacement set - without even being asked, which I received the next day - a perfect set and still in time for the birthday :)

Aug 12,2022Very happy with my purchase the chess board is excellent my only slight complaint is that the pieces are to big it cramps the board at times the pawns are a lot bigger than I was expecting as are the knights saying that the pieces are beautifull to hold and play with

The item was dispatched quickly, in massive packing (chess pieces in a box for board and pieces). Pieces are as described: they, and the box, are of a suitably high quality.

Aug 03,2022Received the beautifully made Mahogany Leningrad Set in jig time. Excellent service. A word to the wise (no reflection on Official Stauntion either); if you order online from the UK for delivery to anywhere in the EU, you'll be done by your local customs officer for VAT at the local rate on top of the advertised price. Irish customs sunk their fangs in to me for an extra €54.00!! Beware!!!

You would not or could not deliver to Northern Ireland, presumably because of so called protocol. Extremely annoying for those of us affected. Had to have item delivered to relative on ‘UK mainland onlyq’ as you required & then forwarded to NI. How ridiculous!
