Aug 19,2022By far the best color matching I have experienced amongst their online competitors. For all owners of tricoat BMW metallics (mineral white), PaintScratch is the only premixed touch-up that does not give a flat white hue as they’ve separated the mid-coat flake which the other brands just mix into the base. Don’t bother with trying the OEM stick—it’s too flat. Other than respraying, this is the only product I can say I am satisfied with. To all mineral paint owners: you’ll never get a perfect blend on road rash as once the original paint is damaged, the reflective, refractive, and particle size imbalances of the repaired surface are impossible to duplicate. PaintScratch simply does a better job than others in replicating the correct process of layering and composition of the paint to prevent the eyes from catching imperfections unless you are close up and looking for it. After curing use a high quality sealant/glaze/carnuba topper or a ceramic coating. Apply their paint per instructions and gain patience. Don’t heat-gun the area to speed things up—you’ll surely repeat the whole process. Prep the panel with IPA; use a blunt needle syringe or airbrush for tight and large spots, respectively, when applying. LET EACH LAYER OF PAINT CURE!
