Don't shop anywhere else ! Penji is the best and offers the best designers and easy communication 24/7. If your not happy they will re-assign a designer and your always guaranteed to get a wonderful product that is above and beyond normal. I tried others and can say they are defiantly the best. 1 Stop shop !! A+++++
The quality of the designs ranged from really good to terrible. It was very much luck of the draw. I literally had a designer return the same design multiple times with minor colour changes. To be fair, customer support reached otu very quickly saying they would change the designer on my response to the frist time they sent it. I thought it wouldn't be required due to the fact it was their first attempt and maybe I did a terrible job explaining. The designer then kept returning the same design for days on their last submission the project manager clearly realised the designer had just returned the same design and my response wouldn't be good within minutes. So why the project manager didn't talk to the designer before hand is beyond me. One time I gave them an example of the sort of style I wanted, the literally just copied the design. Luckily I owned the copyright for the original design so it wasn't so bad. It took 3 weeks for an infographic to be designed. To cancel your service you have to jump through hoops. It's not a simple click and cancel. And it feels like they hold your cancellation hostage to get a review. Which is why I'm writing this review. Hopefully, I get it cancelled without having to do chargebacks.
Very good. They do things fast, very good if you have reference files
Very good and reliable service!
I've been with Penji for 18 months now purely for Merch by Amazon t-shirt designs. It’s very easy and straightforward to queue up design ideas and the designers are great at creating design layouts, color schemes, and picking out graphics based on your specifications. It helps to give them reference material if you have a specific design layout in mind. I’m often delighted when the designer adds a cute touch to the design. As an example I had a design about waking up in Costa Rica that featured a sloth graphic. The designer chose a sleeping sloth graphic even though I didn’t specify the sloth should be sleeping. I thought that was very clever and I’m glad they added that. The need for revisions have been quite minimal and it’s often because I come up with a new idea after seeing the design for the first time. Sometimes there can be confusion with design instructions if I have a series of designs that follow the same layout, but then I add a new design to the series with a slightly changed layout. An understandable mistake, which I’ve learned to prevent by using bold/highlighted text, and repeating in the design brief very clearly: “there is a layout change on this design, please see bold text for layout change.” Overall my Merch designs have come out profitable with certain ideas rising up above others. It’s easy to duplicate designs in Penji to return to profitable design and create new variations. If you want multiple color schemes on a design you can also revisit it and request they create a version for light and dark colored shirts or you can request multiple color schemes if you’re unsure what will look best. I like using coolors to come up with a color scheme or asking the design to come up with a color scheme based on a colorful stock photo from on unsplash. Great experience that I’d recommend to other Merch by Amazon sellers. I’ve yet to try phone and popsocket designs but I’m thinking of trying those out in the future.
Penji did a great job working highly-custom illustrations for my company. They are extremely professional and I highly recommend the company
For a growing startup, Penji is a great option to have. There is a wide variety of projects that they can design. From landing pages, banners, slide presentations, and more -- They do it all. And for the reasonable price, the work is very good. A great feature that they have is the revision tool. Here, you can check out a piece of work that they did and make changes, revisions, and recommendations on the design. It's user-friendly and make lots of sense, especially when you're working on a group task. Overall, Penji can take the place of a graphic designer, or it can be a supplement to your team. Overall, we used them for big projects and everyday routine banner work. Highly recommended.
They make you want to get out of bed early every day like a kid on Christmas. It is exciting to see the new versions of your visions coming to life. The only way I know that is a weekend when I wake up is that there isn't a new Penji design to review. 🙂
We've worked with Penji for a few years before bringing on our own designers in house. Penji was easy to use, with quick matches and turnaround. They were always courteous and professional. Positive experience all around and highly recommend!
Our organization was very fortunate to be selected to participate in the Penji for Nonprofits program, which provided us with 3 months of their team plan for $1/month. We asked their team to create a cover illustration for our online course called a Mind-Hacker's Toolkit to Calm Anxiety. What they created is a beautiful work of art. Here are what I see as the strengths of Penji: 1. designers are responsive and enthusiastic. 2. illustrators are talented. 3. Turnaround for iterations is relatively quick. In case it is helpful, here are a few things I learned about working with Penji: 1. All communication with the designers takes place in writing through their portal. We did not have any live calls or chats with anyone on their team. 2. It's best to have someone on your side who can serve as a creative or artistic director work with their team and give them very specific instructions on what you are looking for. 3. multiple rounds of feedback and iterations are often required to get to a final image that you can publish. 4. the main person assigned to your project changes over time (the hand-offs seem to be based on people's specializations.)
I have been impressed with the quality, consistency and range of work offered but most of all the speed at which Penji has delivered. Great work.
We highly recommend Penji, the platform is easy to use, and the quality of work is constantly top-notch. We have been using Penji for about 4 months now and I would say we have worked with them on 100+ designs. The experience has always been excellent.
Our organization was able to participate in the Penji for Nonprofits program. The program is great for organizations that do not have a dedicated communication or marketing team to work on design services. As part of the program, we received unlimited graphic design help, as many design projects as you want (we asking for logos, business cards, and stationary, and even provide access for several members of your team to the platform to submit requests. I do wish there was a bit more of an "onboarding to your brand" as it would have made projects more efficient. For an organization that has never worked with a design firm before we weren't sure how to express exactly what we wanted. Overall a great asset for organizations though.
We used Penji to create RISE by Sundara's Annual Report. This task began on March 9th and was completed by April 28th. After the designers understood our style, we were pleased with the outcome.
The designs were solid. Fast turn around. And the company provided excellent service with real human beings, unlike some that just offer chat. Mason from Penji got on the phone with me and really listened to my concerns and resolved it fairly and quickly. I would use Penji again.
Penji did a great job helping us get through some sticking points. They are an excellent adjunct to a single-man UI/UX division. Gave our UI/UX lead a chance to actually manage and lead a design team. Would def recommend it to any business with the budget that needs to accelerate their design rapidly.
We've been using Penji for several months. Katherine, Paola, and all of the other designers we have worked with have been incredibly responsive. Without question, the best part of working with this spunky lil design team is that they take feedback extraordinarily well. I never felt like we were being intrusive or harsh. Mason, Jennifer, and Alan have been great to work with on the CS side. Penji's designs have transformed our storytelling and our marketing. Highly, highly recommend. As a plus, they hire Hopeworks students (one of the top nonprofits in NJ) as well! That's 100x respect from me :)
Penji people are friendly and finished my tasks nicely and responsibly. thanks!
I love Penji! They are helpful, supportive and deliver what they promise. Committed to producing excellent work, I will continue to use Penji for all my design needs.
