Old Stable Cottage Carew, Pembrokeshire. A wonderful cottage situated just opposite Carew Castle. Loved the interior design of the cottage - definitely styled to my taste. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. We appreciated the extra touches of small vases of fresh flowers in the living and dining room. Tina, the owner, was very helpful and sorted out the minor issues that we had straight away. Overall, a great experience!
We had a wonderful family holiday at Trinity Cottage, it was lovely accommodation, everything we needed, including the poshest swimming pool, hot tub and sauna which we had to ourselves. On top of this was a games room, snooker, pool, ping pong, darts and a fitness room (didnt use that much :) ) The cottage is handy for many destinations in Pembrokeshire and Glyn the owner couldn't have been more helpful. Very good family accommodation
Brunels Cottage is in a superb location. Neyland was lovely with lots of walks with the dog. The cottage was warm and welcoming while spacious Not the best equipped but sufficient. The cooker didn’t work but plenty of places to eat. Lots to watch on the water either from the lounge or front verandah.
A large rambling farmhouse in the middle of the countryside, incredibly peaceful but only two miles from the main Haverfordwest to St David's road. The first house we have ever stayed in that had absolutely every kitchen utensil we wanted and masses of cutlery and pans, far more than the bare minimum you get in some rentals. Very clean and laundered sheets and pillow cases. Big garden at the back with views across the the countryside and bird song in the background, weather was a bit hit and miss so couldn't take full advantage of it but a great spot to read a book. Owner was very helpful but not intrusive. Quality Cottages were efficient and very helpful with Covid queries. Would come again, but for two weeks next time.
A lovely cottage! We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Ria's Cottage! It was clean, comfortable, cosy and peaceful. The owners were welcoming and helpful. We appreciated the flowers and bottle of wine. The cottage is quite remote, situated past the owner's house, along a long path. The surrounding garden, with lovely flower border, is made of gravel, no grass. We were allowed to walk with our dog in the owner's private wood at the back and there is a footpath to fields as well. The kitchen is well equiped and furnished with large fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher... there is also a hoover and iron. The bathroom, with walk-in shower, is tiled and modern, as is the loft bathroom with roll top bath. The double bed is 4ft 6in wide, and there are two firm single beds in the loft, where adults can comfortable stand. If there is one thing that could be improved, it is the size of the TV, as we felt it was too small for the large lounge. Also be aware that there is no WiFi, so you need to use your own data and 4G on smart phones. There are only a few houses, a bridge and the Cleddau river at the hamlet of Landshipping...we went to the Lawrenny Arms on the river at Lawrenny Quay, 15 mins drive away, for several meals. If you like peace and quiet, we can recommend this cottage. 🙂
A lovely property in a lovely location, but totally let down by cleanliness. There were dusty cobwebs in the main living area and kitchen and 'occupied' cobwebs elsewhere throughout the property. There were even dead insects hanging from dusty cobwebs! Worse still, several of the kitchen drawers and cupboards were filthy to say the least. In particular, the cutlery drawers. Basically, we cleaned the items and areas we used during our stay, but left the rest for others to savour. The dishwasher was devoid of salt and rinse aid, so we purchased what was needed, but then discovered that the dishwasher would dirty the dishes, rather than wash them! The washing machine was mouldy inside, so several pre-washes were required before we could use it. We had to unblock the drain from the en-suite shower, due to it being blocked by faeces! However, once this was done, it drained freely. The Tassimo machine was disgustingly dusty, inside and out, so it was a good job that we took our own! The bottom of the main bedroom wardrobe was quite thick with dust. The tumble drier worked. The freezer worked. The fridge worked, but was broken. The oven worked. The hob worked. The kettle worked. The double bed was very comfy. One of the single beds was unmade on our arrival. Not enough bedding was provided. Items that were supposed to have been removed, according to Covid19 operational requirements, for example soft furnishings, the guest book, reading materials, etc, were still there. We were due to stay for 2 weeks, Saturday to Saturday, but we left on Tuesday of the second week. Would we go again? Unfortunately, I highly doubt it. On the upside, there was a lovely painting, by a local artist, in the main living area.
This was our 4th stay at Caer Ffynnon spanning a period of over 15 years. As always Marion Williams was very welcoming and ensured that everything was spotlessly clean and made ready for our safety. This is a delightful property providing comfort and equipped for every need. A memorable holiday
Faultless service, very impressed. Our booking had to be postponed due to lockdown in 2020 and the re-booking couldn't have been easier. Cottage was perfect and exactly as described, in fact better than pictures! Would 100% recommend and use again.
We really enjoyed our time at Lan Lofft. Every little detail had been thought of to make it a really comfortable, relaxing place to stay. Lovely views from the Juliette balcony in the lounge where you can sit and take in the glorious sunsets. Ideally positioned for some lovely walks and only a short walk into beautiful St David’s. The owners were wonderful hosts who were both welcoming and very helpful. We certainly would recommend Lan Lofft and will be returning.
Lovely place! Clean, well appointed, COVID safe and spacious. Great for 2 would take a third family member Location excellent Parking reasonable for St David’s. Nice neibours Thank you we had a perfect relaxing stay.
We stayed as a family of three with two dogs at Tir A Mor in Nefyn, North Wales from 18th June to 25th June 2021. Beautiful cottage, very homely with every comfort taken care of. Facilities included : 3 beds, 3 bathrooms, two lounge areas, underfloor heating and central heating too plus wood burner. Two jacuzzi baths and hot tub outside. Dining area inside and out and a fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher which we used every day as holiday treat for mum ! The best qualities were : The views were breathtaking and beautiful: the cottage surroundings and gardens so well thought out and lots of places to chill and admire the beauty of the flowers and surroundings: hot tub fun : surround sound in the main lounge fantastic for movie nights (don’t forget your popcorn!) : Downside: In master bedroom no mirror or area near mirror where you could plug in hairdryer or tongs had to resort to sitting on floor to dry hair whilst in front of mirrored chest of drawers! Not ideal please can the owner put a mirror on the wall just as you turn off the stairs and a plug socket nearby many thanks. The second thing would be the drive down the track. Not easy ideally great if you have a 4 x 4 so could do with a few pot holes being filled to make it more accessible. It wouldn’t put me off booking again though as overall an excellent vacation home .
The cottage was stunning, clean and tidy, with everything you need in a wonderful location. The owner contacted us before our stay to welcome us, which was nice. Quality cottages gave us first class service from start to finish when our holiday could not take place in 2020
Easy website to use
All my contacts with Quality Cottages have been courteous and helpful. Just wish your cancellation insurance wasn't so ageist!
Review of Cwm Nantcol Barn. We had a fabulous half term week at the barn. Gareth is a superb host who makes you feel welcome and is more than happy to help point you in the direction of great walks. The barn itself is very comfortable and has everything you need including lots of cupboard space for food. The setting is incredible - the view has mountains, sea, woods and lambs! There is so much to do in the area and we all thoroughly enjoyed the break. Gareth was even kind enough to post back something we had forgotten to pack. Highly recommend.
Wow! What an amazing holiday! Huge thanks to Quality cottages for your super friendly staff and helpful customer team for making it easy to book and guide us. The house was spectacular on the north Wales coast we never knew there was so much to do and explore. Clean and tidy with the comfiest beds and spectacular views. Everything we could have wished for and more. Thank you quality cottages. We’ll be back to book again next summer!
Easy booking process and direct debit facility
Comfortable, well equipped, barn conversion with exceptional views. Beautiful walks from your door. Enclosed garden makes it safe for dogs. Owner very friendly and welcoming. A really peaceful location with only the sounds of the birds and sheep. A place to relax and refocus. You will want to come again and again.
Lighthouse Watch is in a spectacular location, just one sheep-grazing field away from the coastal path, and a 20 minute drive from any significantly sized settlements. We did three different circular walks from the door, and one point-to-point from Fishguard back to the apartment. We spotted many seals in the bays around and an abundance of birds including choughs (red-legged crows: brân goesgoch) and a huge variety of flora: abundant foxgloves and quite a few orchids amongst many others. The fields around the farmhouse contained sheep, cows and horses. The views from all the windows are excellent looking towards the sea on three sides. The living room & master bedroom are light and airy. The sunsets whilst we were there were magnificent with Strumble Head lighthouse as a backdrop. The apartment was very well-equipped with everything you need. Given the price we paid I would have expected a higher level of maintenance: the front door handle had a tendency to fall off & some of the windows were a little tricky to open. The TV in the bedroom was not working: it may only have needed a fuse to fix it. The wifi worked in the living room but didn't extend to the master bedroom (a booster would fix that). The cupboard door hiding the dishwasher was hung the wrong way round preventing easy access from the sink & crockery cupboard. The outside steps required care to navigate due to one missing slate tile and one loose one. The curtains, whilst tasteful, are not sufficiently thick to block out the flashing light from the lighhouse after dark. Thankfully the lighthouse doesn't have a foghorn any more! However, none of these things stopped us from having a wonderful holiday in a fabulous location, which I would thoroughly recommend.
