Smashing :) :)
The cottage is comfortable and spacious with a few homely touches without being fussy. The kitchen is very well equipped with an excellent range style oven. Excellent shower and bathing facilities; heating and water systems work very well. Comfortable beds. Mathry is a quiet, charming and friendly village. The cottage does look a bit 'tired' on the exterior, the front door and windows could do with a lick of paint.
Have previously registered (I have a holiday already booked) but this time the website did not recognise my password (my email address was recognised) nor after changing to a new password To book this new holiday I had to reregister therefore. The property I should say is fine - the website is not.
Brilliant property and good location for exploring the island. All rooms were very well equipped and everything worked. The hot tub was a particular delight. The owners next door were welcoming and helpful when needed.
We returned to Woodland Retreat this May, eight months after our last visit. Never done that before! It was good to be back. We loved the cottage and Solva, the pretty harbour town. The cottage is bright and clean, cosy and warm. It's well equipped with a good WiFi connection. All perfect!
Have used Qualify Cottages before and been happy, however at Hafod the kitchen was splendid but very poorly equiped . The shower was difficult to use and sent water everywhere. The garden furniture was not what was shown. Some chairs very damaged and unsafe. On the upside we were very pleasantly surprised by our welcome pack.
A fantastic house in a beautiful setting. The weather was not hugely kind to us but we still found time to relax. With better weather we would have used the terrace and barbecue, and enjoyed the peace and tranquillity. We originally booked for 2020 and obviously had to postpone due to Covid but the helpful and friendly people at Quality Cottages made it very easy to amend our dates. Instructions and directions to the cottage were sent well in advance of travel and were very clear and detailed.
This is not our first stay at Bryn Araul and it certainly will not be our last. It is a beautiful, quirky little cottage, safe and secure for our two dogs, (and us). The back garden is a delight, however it can be a tad uneven in places and care needs to be taken while exploring it. The meandering little path which leads down the valley side through the woods to the river is a real treat. Facilities are spot on with everything provided to make our stay comfortable and carefree. Internet connection is available and as mobile phone signal is all but non-existent in the cottage, we were able to maintain contact utilising internet phone calls and WhatsApp. I have to mention that the cottage is a very short 15 minute or so drive to a very popular Mach loop observation point where NATO aircraft from many nations practice their low level flying. Regarding the service delivery by Quality Cottages, I cannot fault their professionalism or their customer care. Always kept informed regarding recent covid issues, and the need to re-schedule our original holiday date was dealt with no fuss or negativity. Happy to recommend the company as a good company to deal with.
Wisteria Lodge was a perfect cottage for a quiet & peaceful holiday for two people. It is light and airy, with lovely views from the large Windows, and with places to sit outdoors. It is located in the Gwaun Valley, which offers walks straight from the door of the property.
An excellent house for families and groups. Great kitchen, lovely suntrap garden. Located very close to the centre of the village but on a very quiet back road - virtually no traffic.
This cottage is in a stunning location with the most amazing views and lots of windows to take full advantage of them. It’s a modern, well equipped property with a lovely light and airy feel. The sofa was comfy and, even though the weather wasn’t great, we enjoyed sitting there watching the skies/sunsets. We would love to return.
This is the third property I have stayed at in Wales and they have all been superb quality. Quality Cottages were very easy to deal with friendly staff and offered a six month payment schedule which worked well during the Covid 19 pandemic. Horizons was a fantastic modern family house offering luxury accommodation. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore the spectacular Island of Anglessey.
Hen Efail is a great place to stay. Very cosy and warm in the wet weather. Lovely garden. Total peace and quiet. Charming owners. Perfectly fits the description.
Ria's cottage was wonderful. A lovely, peaceful location and very comfortable. It was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Well situated for driving to the beaches and other interesting parts of South Pembrokeshire, but there were nice walks around the cottage and down to the estuary as well. The owners were very friendly and helpful.
Trefane lodge is a lovely cottage in a wonderful location but it could also be a wonderful cottage. We enjoyed our stay but there were a few irritating problems which marred our enjoyment. There were not sufficient mugs given the use of the dishwasher. The partition door between the lodge and the house is badly insulated, it let in both noise and cooking smells. Although I am sure that the cottage was covid safe it seemed that other aspects of cleaning had been ignored - a very sticky microwave door handle and a few insects around the kitchen worksurfaces. We also had to take our recycling to a centre as there were no bags as specified in the instructions. Also there seemed to be only one dustbin between the 2 houses which meant that at the end of our stay there was very little room for our rubbish given the size of the party next door. In saying all of this it is still a lovely place to have a holiday
Goose Barn Cottage in Pembroke was great for a family stay, the games room proving very popular! Although parking outside is a little tricky the location was great for us with the Coop so close and it really is very quiet. Lots of stunning locations within easy driving distance and the weather was kind for most of the week :)
We were really impressed with The Brewery. It's a lovely cottage, cosy, comfy and the best equipped we have ever been in! The welcome pack was fantastic, one of the best we have had. The owners contacted us prior to our stay and were very helpful. We enjoyed staying at The Brewery so much we have booked again for next year.🙂 Quality Cottages were very helpful when we had to move our booking from 2020 to 2021, no hassle all very straight forward.
Stayed at Bwythan Stabal. Cottage and the grounds were stunning and the view from our garden was incredible! Is a 5-10 min walk into criccieth and the beach/castle (longer back cause of the steep hill!) And a 10-15 minute drive to porthmadog and pwihelli so great location. 2 playgrounds within walking distance for kids and sheep and cows in the field behind the house which kept my little ones very happy. The actual cottage was lovely and facilities were ok. Could do with some frying pans and a slightly bigger TV but other than that no complaints. Thanks for a brill holiday! One note about Quality Cottages - everyone i spoke to on the phone was lovely but a bit useless at ringing you back. On 4 occasions i was told someone would ring me back and they didn't!
We loved lion rock cottage perfect location on costal path just a little touches to update but knowing the year everyone has gone through its difficult to find tradesmen. Have to say the bed in master bedroom was sooooo comfortable & fabulous views from bedroom window of beautiful beach at Broad Haven however if you visit you have to keep it a special secret 😉

Jun 06,2021We stayed in Hafod in Manorbier. The area is stunning, so much to do! The cottage is a bit disappointing, lots of annoying snags, from suspicious stains on the duvet cover, a broken window (In the children's bedroom, which poses both safety and security issues), non-working lamps to one of the beds literally falling apart because the slats have not been inserted properly. Luckily nobody was injured! Kitchen was not very well equipped, I had to ask the caretakers for a vegetable peeler! I would also say that the cottage is pretty snug with little living space, will be very tight for a family of 5. We loved the area a lot and will be back, but not to this cottage.
