We are in process of renting a house... rent4sure made it too difficult for us... they ask for payslips , bank details and irrevelent questions... we feel insecure our details might get leak to other agencies. We are providing each document several times I believe there is miss communication amongst staff too.

I would recommend them. I am a letting agent who has used Rent-4-Sure for a number of years. I have always found them to be very helpful. When I've had to make a claim they have always paid as per their policy and their solicitors have dealt with all the legal work up to and including attending court.

As a lettings manager I am happy to recommend Rent4Sure to any other agents who are looking for reliable referencing for prospective tenants. They are easy to deal with, on the ball and are great at communicating any potential problems to us. Would highly recommend!

I could repeat what everyone else has written here regards to their practices, but what's the point, they'll do as they please and claim it's in everyone's best interests, when I look to rent I will avoid this company at all costs, I wouldn't trust them with anything, they made every interaction shady so you couldn't help but feel like you were having your identity stolen, and required more information than anyone should ever ask of you, avoid, avoid, avoid, there's better and easier ways to find housing than through them.

I have offered to be a guarantor to help a relative rent a house. Rent4sure behave like a scam everything communicated is marked urgent. The amount of date requested is extremely invasive: 6 months salary slips, permission to approach my employer, evidence of savings equivalent to 24 months rent, bank statements, council tax bills, addresses over the last 6 years. The list goes on and on and is endless. This company requires all the information the government and banks warn us not to share to avoid scams. Take note landlords and guarantors if you are worried about being scammed don’t respond to this companies emails.

I am a letting agent and landlord, please don't use this company, I took out approx. 10 rent insurance policy's, when I finally had to make a claim on one, it was a nightmare and they would not pay out the correct amount, I asked them to amend it or I would take further action, the didn't, I served court proceedings on them and after been a customer for approx. 10 years they then blocked my account! has caused me and my business great stress and further costs.

I had a very good experience overall, the people of this company were very helpful and efficient. The only thing that bothered me was the amount of documents required. It never happened to me before to give so many things in order to rent a property. However that is not a major issue when you have all that you need! Also big thank you to the person that called me to sort my broadband for the new property, very nice and helpful guy!

I personally found it really invasive, the amount of documentation required and would have appreciated a little more transparency or explanations. i.e we need to cross reference your name address and income across payslips and bank statements. (Just using this as a hypothetical example - I'm not sure what they need it all for!). The amount of documentation or information asked might be the new normal but it was quite shocking to me! I will give them credit for speed, following up, and I found them to be professional and polite on the phone.

Chris handled my request professionally and made it clear when I and was not being recorded. The company has clearly learned from alleged mistakes in the past and shows genuine interest in providing a securer service for its customers. He was exceptionally patient as I searched for my card and was a pleasure to speak to

When submitting my data to Rent4sure as part of the referencing for a tenancy, I explicitly opted out of receiving marketing for broadband or home insurance. I received a phone call from someone acting as a Rent4sure agent a few days later - again, I requested NO contact about broadband and home insurance, and did not consent to my data being sold to third parties. Nevertheless, this morning I have started receiving spam emails and texts from third-party businesses I don't know, complete with Rent4sure co-branding. This is completely contrary to my wishes and, as it includes sharing data with a third party, I would argue is also a breach of GDPR. I wouldn't trust this company as far as I could throw them.

Having to use rent4sure to reference me was mandatory. However, I have asked for additional services to help moving into my first home easier. Rob was very helpful and informative and has allowed me to move into my house with internet pretty much instantly. I am very happy with the service so far and look forward to seeing what they have to offer with my bills!

As a Letting Agent we look to work with responsible companies to ensure the smooth running of our business and reputation. The service received from Matt has been not only professional but he has taken the time to understand the needs of our business and has kept in regular contact with us to make sure everything is running efficiently. Rob made our day. It was so nice to speak to someone so professional and more important knowledgeable. He talked us through the options and now we cannot wait to move as his new package will be saving us just over £100 per month from our previous suppliers. I am so pleased I ticked the Rent4sure box for this option. Many thanks Rob

I am pleased to act as Guarantor for a relative. However the email from Rent4sure was unsolicited, couched in terms that made me suspect a scam and labelled 'urgent'. I checked with the Letting Agent before reluctantly filling in the online form. I would not do so again, too many questions! I am acting as Guarantor not taking out a mortgage. Why ask for my bank details? I refused them, Rent4sure have no business having them. The email said that submission of information to them was 'mandatory', really? No Statute quoted. I found the veiled threats distasteful, 'Any delays could jeopardise the potential move.' The only 'urgency' is their self imposed timescale. This is the sort of language used by companies chasing parking charges. Is this how they deal with tenants? I suspect that Rent4sure are in the 'volume game', push as many checks through as possible. Little thought for customer service and quality? Their services may be rated by Letting Agents but they are not user friendly when it comes to Guarantors. An email request for a copy of my online submission has been ignored. An unwelcome intervention by a third party in what should be a straightforward transaction. I have agreed with the Letting Agents that any future contact will be directly with them.
