My bill come higher every month my house stay the same all day because I work 7am don’t get home until 20 hours. Is no sense why customers service doesn’t not help at all
Despite their unkept promises, electric bill keeps skyrocketing. Their last promise is that my electric bill would be lower if only I signed up for a year instead of month to month. This summer, due to Hurricane Beryl blowing out our power (and surrounding transformers it seems) we were out of power for a week. Yet with only three weeks of using power, our bill went up over $100. Rhythm blames everyone but themselves: Mostly Centerpoint. I can't make a case unless I contract for one year so I did. Under contract, and without our biggest energy hog, our refrigerator (knocked out by the power surge, using significantly less power), our bill stayed the same. That repetitive boilerplate apology they seem to tag onto anyone at Trust Pilot who reports a bad experience? It's phony. Upon contact you'll find that it means nothing to them. They only use it to try and Upsell you. If like me you are under contract, keep records of everything. Speak kindly to their support all the same. They aren't the decision makers and lots of people work at a job they don't like.
This company lies, they give you a quote of lower rate, but when you get a bill it shows a higher rate. When I tried to reach them that why is my bill showing higher rate.....? they blamed it on Oncor. I will never used them again.

Avoid the company signed up for an account and they answer phone immediately but when you call with questions you will be on hold forever and no one ever answers, so I try to cancel my account within the 3 business day window and can’t even get an email all they say on the online chat is they sent in request! Can’t talk to anyone!
Avoid this company by all means necessary they are crooks. Horrible hold time and customers service experience. I was threatened to be charges 300.00 for a meter re read. This is ridiculous no one knows what they are doing can't explain the bills they are sending you. Again don't use this company...I will be contacting th3 Public Utility Commissioner of Texas also filing with the Better Business Bureau
this company it is terrible! 500, 600,700,815 dollars my bill is getting higher. what!!!!!! i Do not have pool, 2 story house , garage, just 3 bedroom kitchen and living room with 2 small bathrooms.
I would give 0 if I could there’s something super sketchy my light went from 193. To 597 just cause I chose no contract . I told them even if I did how is it possible to go from 193 to 597 that makes no sense. They were like ummmm ummmm give me 3 min . 15 min later no answer I thought it was the agent I asked to speak to supervisor and he never transferred call gave me “I can give you information “ I’m not sure what’s happening . My ex stayed with it didn’t pay for 4 months and still had service . Something super weird going on here
This company literally bought my account from Energy Texas, and didn't communicate with me at all. Nothing, not an email, a letter, a phone call. Just turned my power off ... Worst calamity I've been through with a public utility company EVER. Then they send you to an web page with some much information, it's evident they don't want to communicate. They just want to confuse you into giving up trying to communicate. Terrible company.

I landed their chat screen to ask about possible plans. They said "Wait for 3 mins" and they made me wait for 15 minutes. They shared promotions, additional services but no answer to my question. At the end of the chat, before I left. I asked for my last day on their service. They didn't answer my question. I decided to leave from Rhythm at that moment. That moment was a real "A-ha" moment because they don't listen customers and they don't answer questions.
Honestly the first year was amazing, not expensive and easy to get by, But it all started after that year. I moved to a new how I was buying and switched it over to the new house. That's when everything was way too expensive, the bill cost was going higher and higher, I had my electric cut off twice just because I couldn't keep up with it. Fun fact it went from $200-300 to $500-1000 dollars. It does not make any sense on why its priced so high, I barely leave anything on in the house and I'm not home most of the time due to work. When I look at the online bill, its still charging even when they turn my power off, How does that happen??? Every hour its says we are using electricity but the house and its power is shut off, there is no way for it to continue to be charged for power, Its a scam at that point. I couldn't even get in contact with someone about it. They need to change their ways or its just going to get worse, someone might take this to the news one day.
