Robinson's Shoemakers is one of Ireland's most prestigious gentlemen's shoe companies offering bespoke shoemaking, traditional English footwear brands, a repair service and Robinson's own brand of off the shelf hand-made shoes.
Established Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland in 1954 by William & Annie Robinson as a local leather workshop and traditional cobbler, Robinson's has been at the centre of Carrickfergus for over 60 years. Now a third generation family business the company continues to grow from strength to strength offering expertise in all things shoe related not just locally but across the world.
In an ever faster paced world, were things rarely stay the same for long, it is refreshing to sometimes stop and to think at how things used to be done. Sep 21,2015Delivery was quite slow and communication initially was zero relating to delivery. Picked up after about a week at a point when I was about to make contact and then delivery was made a few more days later. No real issue with the length of delivery as there was no rush, however it would have been nice if it was made clear, simply not knowing was irritating and I thought there was a possibility of a scam going on having not used this company before! Considering the cost of the shoes c£200 I was surprised that excess glue was present on the leather which required some effort to remove. Happy with the shoes now though but would have thought quality control would have spotted the glue which was pretty obvious. Nice touch to include a pair of socks, shoe horn and spare laces in the box, much appreciated.

Sep 15,2015This is the third pair (and best - Loake Churchills) of shoes I have bought from Robinsons, shipping two pairs to Australia and one pair to New Zealand. Each time the website provided accurate descriptions of the product and the fit, and very competitive prices compared to to local prices for the same product. The product shipped quickly given the distances involved and arrived in excellent condition. I do not hesitate to recommend Robinsons. I will be a customer for years to come.

Sep 02,2015I ordered a pair of brogues on 19th June 2015 and my credit card was debited the following day. The shoes were delivered at the end of August 2015. Robinsons warned me by email that there would be a delay but I am used to my money being taken when the goods are despatched. It is a minor quibble and the shoes are magnificent.

Aug 27,2015Th shipping came like I payed for priority. I live in the USA, placed my order on Thursday. It processed on Friday and shipped Monday. (Weekends aren't business days) and arrived on Wednesday. That's like 4 days after I ordered from them.
