Robinson's Shoemakers is one of Ireland's most prestigious gentlemen's shoe companies offering bespoke shoemaking, traditional English footwear brands, a repair service and Robinson's own brand of off the shelf hand-made shoes.
Established Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland in 1954 by William & Annie Robinson as a local leather workshop and traditional cobbler, Robinson's has been at the centre of Carrickfergus for over 60 years. Now a third generation family business the company continues to grow from strength to strength offering expertise in all things shoe related not just locally but across the world.
In an ever faster paced world, were things rarely stay the same for long, it is refreshing to sometimes stop and to think at how things used to be done. Recently ordered a pair of shoes...The email said ''free international shiping'' ''free gift inside'' The shipping was finally free but for orders over 150 pounds.. no free gift in the box email sent friday...no reply Nevertheless, the delivery was quick this time and the shoes amazing.

Jun 18,2014So happy with my third pair of Robinson's shoes which arrived today. Have them on now and they feel just great. One disappointment, but hey maybe I'm expecting too much. in the first two pairs there was included a pair of socks. I thought this was a great little promotion, an extra that was gratefully received; something to go beyond expectation. So imagine my disappointment when I opened todays package and found no socks, just exactly what I ordered. Bring back the socks I say. But a great service orientated firm, well done. John

Jun 18,2014Ordering was straightforward and the shoes arrived, in good condition, a couple of days after I'd ordered them. On opening the box there was a surprise pair of socks and a shoe horn with the shoes. Great Service.

Jun 17,2014They are honest and very keen business people. Their website is very informative, making choosing the types or sizes of shoes easy even for first time shoppers. I like their personalized customer care and to top it all, their Clearance section is my all time favorite. I've so far purchased 6 pairs of shoes from them, 2 each for a friend, my son, and myself. Believe it or not, these quality shoes fit our feet much better than those we had previously bought off the shelf in our home country even without prior trial fitting, thanks to the information in the Journal section.

Jun 13,2014Ordered Shoes on the website. Received a confirmation. 5 days pass I received no delivery notice. Sent a email to customer service. Received a response that shoes I ordered were out of stock and will not be delivered for another 2 weeks. I mention that if I known that (which other websites indicate that) I would had ordered a different pair or ordered from from somewhere else. The event I was planning on wearing the shoes too will have past by than. So I'm still waiting, so I'm yet to be satisfied

Given the price of quality shoes here still reflects the weak Australian currency of a decade ago, it is great to have a service like this delivering to our side of the world. Would be 5 stars - just not sure what more value you can add to a simple purchase and despatch!
