Robinson's Shoemakers is one of Ireland's most prestigious gentlemen's shoe companies offering bespoke shoemaking, traditional English footwear brands, a repair service and Robinson's own brand of off the shelf hand-made shoes.
Established Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland in 1954 by William & Annie Robinson as a local leather workshop and traditional cobbler, Robinson's has been at the centre of Carrickfergus for over 60 years. Now a third generation family business the company continues to grow from strength to strength offering expertise in all things shoe related not just locally but across the world.
In an ever faster paced world, were things rarely stay the same for long, it is refreshing to sometimes stop and to think at how things used to be done. Feb 04,2015I have bought two pairs of Loake 1880 shoes from Robinsons. In both cases, however, neither shoe was available despite saying 'in stock' on the website. The Robinsons' team did provide good communication throughout the transaction, and friendly service. The free shipping to Australia is hard to beat, so the price, plus good service means I would shop again.

I have only one little thing to say, when trying on the shoes, I went to tied them up the shoe laces broken, which I was very surprised about when the quality of the shoes is excellent,

Jan 25,2015I bought a pair of Barker shoes for my partners birthday, at £159.95 on 13th January. I was disappointed to receive an email the following day to say you no longer had these shoes in stock. Clearly you should not have advertised for a size you no longer had, and should not have taken the money, but you did. It is today the 25th January and I am yet to receive a full refund, which I have chased for twice this week. This is not an insurmountable about of money. I have not received a response to my last email requesting to know the date you instigated the refund. This is not good enough, and if I do not hear back by Monday I will be reporting you for fraudulent activity as you have taken money on the pretence of shoes which do not exist. The ordering is simple & they deliver on time. The one time there was an issue with an item that was supposed to be in stock that wasn't, I got a phone call from the MD explaining the issue & an alternative was offered. What more could you want!
