Robinson's Shoemakers is one of Ireland's most prestigious gentlemen's shoe companies offering bespoke shoemaking, traditional English footwear brands, a repair service and Robinson's own brand of off the shelf hand-made shoes.
Established Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland in 1954 by William & Annie Robinson as a local leather workshop and traditional cobbler, Robinson's has been at the centre of Carrickfergus for over 60 years. Now a third generation family business the company continues to grow from strength to strength offering expertise in all things shoe related not just locally but across the world.
In an ever faster paced world, were things rarely stay the same for long, it is refreshing to sometimes stop and to think at how things used to be done. Apr 27,2015I ordered my shoes and had them posted out to South Australia. Of course, when I tried them on I realised I probably could have done with half a size smaller. The returns department of Robinson's responded to each email and swapped the shoes with no issue. For quality shoes that I plan to have for a lifetime, I'm glad I spent the time to get the sizing perfect and glad I received excellent service throughout. I'd not hesitate to recommend Robinson's Shoes to friends looking for quality footwear and will readily relay my experience exchanging sizes.

Apr 08,2015I am writing this review as my husband (who the shoes were for) won't. My husband paid 175.00 for a pair of shoes, they are beautiful shoes but have three tony faults, one is the heel is a little chipped also the sole, and on top of the left shoes a tiny piece of material is missing - this shoes had passed inspection and were signed off!! I advised my husband to send them back as for the price he paid I would expect perfection, however he decided he could live with the minor faults as he wanted them for a particular event we were going to and if he send them back they would not be returned in time. So, the shoes are in fact quality, but they should never have passed inspection. Beautifally boxed and placed into separate shoe slips, also a free pair of socks.
