Robinson's Shoemakers is one of Ireland's most prestigious gentlemen's shoe companies offering bespoke shoemaking, traditional English footwear brands, a repair service and Robinson's own brand of off the shelf hand-made shoes.
Established Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland in 1954 by William & Annie Robinson as a local leather workshop and traditional cobbler, Robinson's has been at the centre of Carrickfergus for over 60 years. Now a third generation family business the company continues to grow from strength to strength offering expertise in all things shoe related not just locally but across the world.
In an ever faster paced world, were things rarely stay the same for long, it is refreshing to sometimes stop and to think at how things used to be done. Mar 11,2015Ordered a pair of patent Loakes prior to Christmas 2014, theses were for a dinner/dance. The order was excepted and agreed, 2 days prior to the dinner/dance got an email to say 'sorry we haven't got them in stock' terrific , so I then had to go into the City and attempt to buy something similar. Got a nice apology and my money back but, that was not what I wanted. Would not use again. The star rating is untrue, there was no friction from Robinsons, only me.

Mar 10,2015I love the range that Robinson's offers. All the brands are quality shoemakers, though they might be a little traditional for some. Their prices compare with high street shoe shops and the range is unmatched by anyone in Ireland, north or south. I think the delivery is just a tad slow. Nowadays we have become used to next day local fulfillment and, where this does not happen, communication should be sharp. All in all, a great seller from whom i will buy again.

Mar 09,2015Have ordered from Robinson's several times now. Have been impressed by their customer service, particularly since the new website was implemented. Ordered a pair of shoes in November to find that they were out of stock. The communication and customer service was above and beyond and addressed any issues I had. Glad to be a returning customer, and to recommend them to friends.

Mar 08,2015The shoes arrived they fit great and look classy. I have gotten compliments from the pictures alone. I have yet to wear them due to the suit I plan to wear with these shoes is not finished, a custom made Navy windopane.

Mar 05,2015Purchased a pair of Loake shoes for about 40% less than I could get them in the shops in Australia (if I could even get them). Very impressed with the delivery time of 1 week from date of order. Nice touch with surprise free pair of socks in the box when I opened it and will definitely use Robinsons again.

Feb 22,2015i sent for and received brown shoes size 9 G for my son s birthday -- unknown to me he has prior bought some himself -- so i returned them and requested black he is delighted with these very comfortable and will last in wear and re fashion-- but good quality always is my motto - however when i returned the i t cost me 10£ to secure a quarantee with the postage -- also with the first purchase of the brown we also received in the box spare laces -and socks -- with the black there were no socks ,so abit disappointed ,will continue to buy from you as my husband aslo loves your shoes

The order went through perfectly and delivery to Australia was within a week. Fantastic. In addition they included a couple of pairs of socks and shoe covers and polishing cloths and shoe horns. Feb 18,2015Do not take part on fooling and wasting customer’s time & effort by displaying unavailable items or items on order basis, simple you and only you need to be honest, while displaying items. Imagine people from thousands of miles away from your destination watching and visiting your site happy without knowing you or your history, they place orders and then next day you inform them items on pre-order basis. What would be the reaction? I have place order 4 times first and second when fine, third and fourth was bad experiences. Any way to ensure return customer satisfactions most important, satisfactions varies from one person to other one. Now I started dealing with Pediware, I really wish to come back to Robinson’s if they improve their services. All the best
