Robinson's Shoemakers is one of Ireland's most prestigious gentlemen's shoe companies offering bespoke shoemaking, traditional English footwear brands, a repair service and Robinson's own brand of off the shelf hand-made shoes.
Established Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland in 1954 by William & Annie Robinson as a local leather workshop and traditional cobbler, Robinson's has been at the centre of Carrickfergus for over 60 years. Now a third generation family business the company continues to grow from strength to strength offering expertise in all things shoe related not just locally but across the world.
In an ever faster paced world, were things rarely stay the same for long, it is refreshing to sometimes stop and to think at how things used to be done. Ever courteous emails to keep you informed of order progression and they arrive exactly when you are told they will. Plus a couple of extras with regards to travel storage bags and a free pair of socks. Thoroughly recommend

Sep 20,2014The shoes Jack Loake in tan were for my son's birthday present, and are as expected well made and he is thrilled with then.Service, delivery and communications with Robinson's were poor The packaging and box were damaged and poorly presented though , not within Loake standards..Ordered and payment were taken on the 6th September received on 18th although it does state on website up to 5 days.I e mailed twice and no one seemed to answering the phone when I called.Eventually a person called Kenneth did sort the problem out with the wearhouse.

Sep 14,2014I wrote to ask how to clean some rosewood calf shoes, so I ordered the stuff that Robin advised, and it arrived two days later (good turnaround). The stuff is good quality and works great, I just wish they were my local shoe shop, so I could drop in for repairs etc. I'd definitely use them again.

Sep 11,2014I was reluctant initially to purchase a personal item without having first tried it on, however fortunately I already had a pair of the same brand shoe and assumed that the sizing would be comparable. Delighted with the results and the thoughtful gift included. Thought Robinsons website and approach was brilliant as originally I'd looked up Loake's shoes in isolation, but the former gave me the opportunity to compare several British shoe makers and satisfy myself from a far wider variety of choices at much cheaper prices than I could achieve in Sydney. Simple payment method and timely delivery rounded out a very easy and stress free shopping experience.
