Robinson's Shoemakers is one of Ireland's most prestigious gentlemen's shoe companies offering bespoke shoemaking, traditional English footwear brands, a repair service and Robinson's own brand of off the shelf hand-made shoes.
Established Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland in 1954 by William & Annie Robinson as a local leather workshop and traditional cobbler, Robinson's has been at the centre of Carrickfergus for over 60 years. Now a third generation family business the company continues to grow from strength to strength offering expertise in all things shoe related not just locally but across the world.

Sep 06,2014I have purchased 4 pairs of shoes from Robinson's - two online and two directly in the store whilst on holiday. The online service was very good indeed but was surpassed by the excellent experience in store in December 2013 and September 2014. I thought I knew my shoe size. Turns out I was wrong. As a result of the excellent service from Samantha in December and John in September I now have the two most comfortable pairs of shoes I've ever had in my life (Barker Nairn tan and Chester A. Arthur Burnished Whisky Tan). I never thought I would ever spend £300 on a pair of shoes - but it really is worth it. The comfort, fit, quality and styling is world-class. No point in having tailored suits if one doesn't finish them off properly. The service in-store and online from Kenneth will ensure that I am a customer for a long time to come. Neil W. Sep 05,2014I always buy my shoes from Robinsons - they have a great, high-quality and high-class selection, at prices which are much cheaper than any of the shops near me, and their customer service is excellent - I always get the deliveries promptly, and I often also get a little something extra with my shoes (like a pair of socks, or a tie) which is brilliant. I recently bought my wedding shoes from them - they didn't have the pair I wanted in stock and rang me to ask if I wanted to think about getting a different pair. I told them I had selected those specific shoes for my wedding and would be willing to wait for them (it was well in advance of the wedding) but I think when they knew it was for my wedding, they expedited them and I had them within a few days! I can't recommend them highly enough.

Sep 04,2014The shoes made by Robinson look superb. I ordered a pair and the web site said in stock immediate despatch. I was contacted by Robinson to say shoes would take 2-3 weeks to be delivered....the former needs to be changed to manage customer expectations. Of course the money for the shoes went from my account immediately I ordered them....this sort of thing annoys customers.....don't do it! I await my shoes......

Sep 03,2014I ordered two pairs of Alfed Sargent boots from Robinsons. The quality is first-rate for the price and delivery very fast. There was a minor issue with one of the boots, not the fault of Robinsons, and I had to return it to them. However, they handled the matter very professionally and resolved the problem as quickly as possible. Highly recommended! Their sale section has some fantastic bargains if you want an excellent pair of shoes/boots at much less than retail.

They ship on time, I live in mainland Europe and only have to wait about a week. They always send a free gift e.g. socks or shoe horn. Plus their loyalty reward scheme is an additional discount

Sep 01,2014The shoes sold are excellent and price is good. The delivery is free and quick. Customer service is good too while phone service can be made better. The only problem is that the 30 days return policy includes shipping time, which is not fair for who lives far from UK because it takes higher cost to return shoes.

I looked at their website and saw the Barker Rochester Rosewood Calf/Cedar Grain bring advertised in the clearance section. I knew my shoe size, ordered and paid for them. They were delivered FOC within the prescribed delivery period. Great shoes and service provided.
