Great to speak to a human! Listened to what I wanted and gave a quick quote and was very clear about the processes involved.
So, after the last review Safe Store rang me in regards to the review. I was called by an Area manager (female). The A.M informed me that they have saved 3 medium sized boxes with photos and any paperwork that had my name on it. I did arrange to collect them as my anxiety was not in the best place but I had my whole life in that staorage and wanted to see what they had rescued. I didn't organise the boxes straight away due to Christmas. It wasn't until this last week that I had time to sort them. I'm missing 2 x photo books that I know had my name in them (one was yellow and fluffy with winnie the poohs face on the front, the other was a blue universal studio's). They had photo's of myself visiting Florida. Other florida pictures were there with me touching a dolphin. I had 2 broken phone's (both Samsungs - 1 Galaxy 8 purple, 1 - Galaxy note 8 which is gold. I understand that I owed them money and I understand that it's a business but what they have done is out right CRUEL, EVIL AND HEARTLESS. No payment plans to offer anyone so if you do fall behind then it stops all this heartache that I'm suffering from like this. My sister passed in 2016, my dad passed in 2008 and I know I had more pictures of them in my belongings because I'm missing a lot of them. I have 2 whole DEGREES and not ONE certificate came back to me. I had a A4 lever folder full of all my certificates of education. The A.M said there were in there too. So she lied!!! S.S even put my belongings in their own branded boxes. Why wasn't my belongings put in the plastic storage boxes that where already in my stuff? They even destroyed my socks, underwear and make up that can't even be resold. Why didn't they just take items that they can resell like my washing machine, drawer sets etc and let me collect clothes, shoe's, make-up. This just shows how NOBODY should use their services EVER AGAIN because they will f you over. My mental health has taken a drastic nose dive since discovering what this awful, backstreet company has done to me. Which company hasn't got any payment plans to offer their customers in this day & age? Oh that's right.... SAFE STORE. And to be called "safe" has definitely got to be a play on word's because it's far from the truth.

Just looking to transfer my lock up for the last few months and went on line and good price Called the stored to double check and wow . they quoted me £ 13.00 per week more than on line .The rooms were slightly a different size the lady said .but tried to clarify what I required . But she couldn’t even tell me if she had that one available. Was to busy trying to get me to get the bigger unit.

I had called concerned about my new contract, but Danny spoke to me and give a good deal. He explained that the market tends to change, and then it made so happy to know my new contract will be £73 for 16sqft per month and for a year more!!! My previous contract until this January is £93 so I will save £20!!! Thank you so much Danny :)
I have been very disappointed with the Swanley Safestore units. I had recently hired three individual units, at great cost, a short period before Christmas 23. I employed my usual removal chaps to fill, and empty the units, on two of the visits Trolleys were not available, meaning lots of additional legwork at my expense, and the worst was to come when the last unit was emptied and cleared. Rodents had eaten into one of our box’s !! All of the bedding was obviously then damaged, and consequently disposed of. It was clear all of my belongings were damp and very cold, due to the poor condition of the building. I would not recommend using Safestore, as there is clearly no form of heating in the areas of storage, you might as well leave your belongings in the shed at the bottom of the garden. I did complain, with hope of compensation on the one of three units, but of course just told to fill out the Insurance form. As you may know you pay dearly for their Insurance!! Only for your items to be left unprotected from the weather and rodents. Happy to forward pictures of my experience if anyone would like some evidence, Don’t go to Swanley Safestore that’s my advice.

Jan 16,2024I had a great experience with Safestore in Marsh Mills Plymouth. They were extremely helpful when I called, and even sent recommendations of removals companies since it was short notice. On the day I arrived, the folks there were helpful, professional and kind on what turned out to be a stressful day. I would definitely recommend them.
