The yardley storage was very helpful and friendly and jolly.. it was easy to change lock up and save money.. would recommend the Yardley storage

We'd set our sights on a unit with a different storage company but, at the last minute, thought it prudent to get a second quote (from Safestore, Liverpool). I'm really glad we did! Raza H was so incredibly personable, professional, efficient & methodical that we'd assumed we'd got through to an area manager. He's REALLY that good! In hindsight, we probably wouldn't have taken the unit with Safestore if it were not for him picking up the phone when we called. Same could be said for Kelly – always willing to explain things, happy to answer queries, and eager to find solutions to unforeseen problems. Between Raza & Kelly (and an honourable mention to Jermaine at head office) they made signing up to Safestore for 6 months a real easy-breezy pleasure! A top-notch team, and thus a company I'd be more than happy to recommend to family and friends!

Do not use the BATH store, they make you take out overpriced and useless insurance and then will not allow a claim when the staff break and steal your items.

I closed the storage after giving two weeks' notice. The receptionist said not to cancel direct debit as they need to issue the refund in few days and direct debit will be cancelled automatically. After I was issue the refund, the next day i was charged monthly payment of 234 again. Contacted management and customer service 3 times, all were saying management will call you soon to discuss the refund. Nobody called or emailed explaining what is being done. Very disappointed

From the start of our conversation, I believe his name was Sam, he helped with the size storage I needed, the cost, opening hours and did I need boxes or packaging.

Ally at customer service was extremely polite and professional and she ensured that i get a good deal. she clearly explained the whole process as well as helped me to select the right unit so when i arrived at the branch everything was almost ready. very good experience overall

Store used to be a great friendly store, excellent and helpful staff, but recently there has been a pretty much clean sweep and new management and staff drafted in who do not know their customers let alone give two hoots about any of them. Currently claiming that my ‘unit is gone’ because it went over time by 1 x day despite me contacting head office customer services who claimed that they would get the store to call me back on multiple occasions - no call back ever came. Safepay links have never worked. Now store manager Ian (new to the business) tells me your items have left the store to eBay and account gone to finance. Finance doesn’t speak to customers but told I would get a call or email from them. Still waiting. If your items have allegedly 1) gone and 2) left the store then why on eBay are your items shown as collection in person from the very same store that you have been lied to by who claim that your items are not at the store. Images on eBay also showing items of a personal nature that are supposed to be removed and returned as they are subject to GDPR handling and thus any purchaser from eBay could claim items not as described or misleading photo’s as these items should be removed including restricted items such as handcuffs which should not be made available in the public domain. Ian store manager claimed he had a trolley of my personal GDPR protected items and he would call me on Monday (yesterday) but as expected, no call back. Photos on eBay show personal items included as part of the auction so cannot believe a word Safestore tells you, but why lie to customers??? Some of the items belong to someone who suffers from 4 x personality disorders but Safestore doesn’t give a toss. Safestore is currently selling units under the username storagewars2022-1 so check there if your unit is off to be sold and don’t be fobbed of by Safestore lies. Area Manager is not much better with aggressive and poor customer service skills who was originally 9 years with Boots. Not sure why someone would leave a FMCG and beauty / pharmaceutical business for storage but never mind!! ****UPDATE**** Neither Safestore Customer Services (Perry) or David Cotta (Area Manager) have been able to click and send a copy of the ‘Generous Safestore Policy in circumstances such as mine’ as alluded to by Mr Cotta in his initial TrustPilot Review. Safestore also appears not to be adopting best practice alluded to in a BBC video linked to on the Self Storeage Association website in relation to supposed abandoned units and the video recording and meticulous documentation of the contents. Safestore are also breaching Fremantle Media’s IP on use of the Storage Wars TV show as their eBay username storagewars2022-1 when auctioning off units.

This company threw away my life. I've had family members that have passed away and had memories/photos that can not be replaced. I had to put my belongings in storage as I was fleeing domestic violence. I did fall behind with my payment's due to health issues but I was willing to pay extra per month to bring the total down/back on track. I did explain all this to them but they didn't care. This company did not want to help me get out of the crisis nor did they offer a payment plan, given the state of the economy. One staff member (male) was so rude that I suffered from a mental breakdown after the call with him. He said "pay up or we will destroy all your belongings", like he was a bailiff. When I asked to speak to a manager, he told me that he was the manager and that I should just "pay them and not make a big fuss as he needs to deal with people that pay". He is not a manager. When they destroyed all my belongings they did not call me to inform me (I have phone records to prove it). I'm still suffering with the loss of the family members and the loss of my personal belongings. I literally have to start again. No clothes, shoe's, photos or comforts all because of them. I'm totally heartbroken with the lack of care or support this company has done for me. I would NEVER recommend such company to anyone EVER.
