Very easy booking, Tim kept in contact and answered all my questions promptly. Driver was great, arrived when expected and completed his job in a friendly prompt manner.
We originally booked the job for Friday 28th July 2023. We advised the school would be open from 08.00am until 3pm, also noted two mobile number to call and provided their contact details. On Friday the 28/07 employee called shred-it at 1.15pm to chase when the driver was coming , she was advised we was the last job and someone would be at the school by 3pm. Facilities staff were waiting outside the school until 3.30pm. Not sure if the driver turned up, was never given any information on this. On Monday the 31st July, the school called Shred It, the booking was rearranged for 02/08, he advised the shredding bags would be left outside the front of the school under cover. Same opening hours and added another note to make sure the driver called staff. Again no call received. employee called on Wednesday and was advised the job had been marked as collected, he was advised on the phone someone would look into this. He did not receive any call back. He called again, not sure when and was given a call log from the drivers phone. With no dates, not relevant. Again employee called back again as he had still not received further information, he was told again 91 bags had been collected that morning. He was told that job had been marked as complete, and the school would be charged. employee advised we would not be paying the invoice and will arrange for another company to collect. I received an email which showed the driver going onto the school site, he has gone through open gates, which is the vehicle exit gate, not entrance gate. It is clear the school would be open. Security gates are not left open when staff are on-site, we also had builders onsite in the building the driver drove past. employee did not receive a call and the bags were not collected. Someone from Shredit called me in the finance office a week later, I asked him to send me dates and times the driver attempted to collect. I gave him my email address and I never received any information back. The next communication was an invoice. I have been sending emails, I get a response, which I can then not respond to, as the email then states case closed. I have sent emails to complaints, but no response. We have now received a debt collection letter. This is shocking, paying for a service that did not happen, good way to spend tax payers money! They need to improve on their customer service, talk to customers, do not send an email that customers cannot respond. Admit your mistakes, and do not ask customers to pay for service, that did not happen.

Our waste bins were full and our collection wasn't for another 16 days. Ellie T-H was great on the phone and offered an earlier collection date for the following week and also sent out 10 sacks for us to fill until our usual bins had been emptied. Everything was followed up and confirmed via email by her. Thank you.
