He was also very help with answering all my questions and pointing me in the right direction in terms of equipment. Would definitely recommend

Oct 30,2022Wow, heard about this place from word of mouth and a few internet forums. I have long thin feet (size14) and struggled with hire boots causing long term numbness in my 4th toe. James helped me, we talked through what I experienced previously, what my ski level is, what my goals are, he talked about some of the bio mechanics and how the fitting process will address all the previous issues. They had boots that would fit in stock and we spent 90mins working through the process. I now have some boots that feel great, at a price I expected to pay and can’t wait to trial them at Hemel Snow Centre and get out to France! Also coffee was great and Andrew’s gags about not needing Skis with size 14 feet reminded me of my teenage years at dry slopes in Manchester. Top bunch and great service.

Oct 21,2022Having recently started learning to ski and booking a trip away, I felt it was time to invest in my own ski boots. I had a boot fitting with Andrew, it lasted around 90mins, his knowledge of feet shape and ski boots is unbelievable. I was warned by friends that ski boots aren’t comfortable and that this is normal. They clearly haven’t had boots fitted by Andrew / ski exchange, I couldn’t believe the difference compared to rentals. So snug and perfectly fitted but certainly not uncomfortable, making improving easier and more enjoyable! I would highly recommend ski exchange, they are friendly, knowledgeable and more than happy give impartial advice. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Oct 04,2022I came to Ski Exchange for my partner and I to get fitted for snowboarding boots, we have been snowboarding for 12 and 4 years respectively. We booked a slot through their website ahead of time. We weren't certain how experienced the staff would be with snowboarding as compared to skiing given the name of the place, but decided to give it a try and we were far from disappointed. The gentlemen that work at the shop were friendly, professional and incredibly helpful. I also very much appreciated their candor. While they didn't deny that we might find cheaper snowboarding boots online (although their prices were still reasonable), they mentioned the fact that if we were to run into any issues, they would take care of any exchanges, repairs or adjustments free of charge, which was well worth the price for us. Also, at no point were we ever pressured to buy, or committing to buying, even after they shaped the boots to our feet. In addition to 2 pairs of very well fitting snowboarding boots, we also took away so many invaluable pieces of advice that they shared freely, from snowboard selection tips, insights into ski/snowboard rental companies, to the best value for money resorts. Overall a great and comfortable (as much as it can be!) boot fitting and purchasing experience, I highly recommend this place. Snowboarders note that while they do stock snowboarding boots and have snowboarding expertise, they do specialize in skiing equipment and do not sell snowboards in store.

Nov 02,2022attention to detail and a good sense of humour booked a session to fit boots. They'd been bought last late last year and were too tight. Tried refitting earlier this year but couldn't get them to fit, so They asked me to come back in autumn when I could change the boots as there would be a bigger range. Used the full two hours and I now have new boots that fit.
