I love the product! I would give it a five star review except for... I was told it was an American company. When I contacted the company for a different questions prior to ordering its a company in Texas. However after I ordered and was waiting for shipment I realized the product is coming from China! When I question them they said there sales office is in America but the product is made in China. Very misleading!!!

Was looking for motorized shades to go on an entry door and stumbled on their website - sure glad I did. This is exactly what I was looking for and am overall very happy with the quality and functionality of the product. Overall I thought the price was fair when I ordered it but think it’s an even better deal after installing and using it. It works well on my front door to keep the afternoon sun tempered (still filters in some light). In the evening it provides good privacy while still letting me see out some. Installation was easy and I ordered mine with the HomeKit option and setup was a breeze. Super happy they had the option to upgrade to HomeKit since it allowed me to set some automations (one of the main reasons I chose SmartWings). The shade is even more useful and convenient to me because it works on schedule even when I’m not home. It seems to hold a long charge and charging is easy using the usb-c connection. I’ve had the shade for a couple of weeks and have not had to recharge since the first charge. I did not order the solar panel because I didn’t want it obscuring any part of this particular window but I’m sure it would integrate and work well. If I had one item I wish was different it would be the option to order the cassette valence frame to be a different color or metallic looking. I had to go with a darker shade (brown) and the valence frame and sides are stark white. It looks ok but I may paint this later to better match the brown shade and valence inlay. Other than that, I’ve found this to be a great product and am considering changing some other manual roller shades to these, especially given the HomeKit/Matter upgrades.

Order process was very intuitive. Order came quickly. Had difficult establishing voice control but one call to Smartwings and they walked me right though it over the phone. I plan to buy more products from them.

The blinds look great, work great. Integrate with SmartThings over Zigbee quite well, and a fraction the price of Hunter-Douglass for instance.

Love the shades except for one issue. The Zigbee/Alexa feature is very frustrating. The remote works great, but trying to use Alexa to control the blinds is impossible. It works for awhile, but will lose connection and you have to reconnect constantly.

Great Product + Great Support I was on the fence about smart home shades for a little while, researching many different products. I got quotes for a lot of options, both smart and regular shades to fit my home needs. Smartwings came out on top in terms of price compared to all the other smart options I viewed and even on top of some of the regular home shade options from places like Blinds.com / Home Depot with 40% off! The Smartwings team was extremely responsive and helped me ensure I was measuring appropriately and ordering exactly what I needed. I was truly impressed with how quickly I received the items. I ordered 4 shades with one being as large as 76" wide, and I had them at my doorstep in a week and a half. Installation was incredibly straight forward and I was able to do it entirely by myself. Connecting them to my smart home setup with the Matter motors was a breeze. I don't regret a thing with these shades and I can't wait to enjoy them for years to come.

The screws and drywall anchor provided don't support the blind very well. I had to buy different ones instead after one of the blinds almost fell. I expected more than to have such trivial issues.

I installed my first SmartWings shade in a large picture bay window. The window is made of three windows, (2) 3X7 ft windows and (1) 8X7 ft window. This shade is hidden in the wall and drops down when needed. The shade is 8 feet long and drops to cover the 7 foot height. Installation was almost as easy as regular blinds. The instructions were easy to understand and except for a few brackets similar to traditional blinds basically it is remove from the well packaged box, mount, and connect to your WiFi. The shade has worked flawlessly since installed. It is easy to program the exact stopping point for raising and lowering. The Alexa voice command works well, the remote does too. I highly recommend the SmartWings shades and blinds. I am using Samsung SmartThings, Alexa, or the remote to control the blinds. I can open the SmartThings app and open or close the blind to the percentage I want. This will be my first of several darkening shades purchased from SmartWings. I can say I've had smart lightbulbs more difficult to install and connect than this blind.
