Mar 09,2021My wife and I bought a house which had been fitted with Smith's windows. When we moved in we noticed that 4 of the glazed units had blown. In February 2020 we called Smith's and promptly had a visit from them to assess, we were assured that they would be replaced under warranty. Covid-19 obviously became a national issue around this time so we have been patient, sending an occasional email to check on when the fitter might be able to come back. We hadn't heard anything at all from them since October 2020 so I called today and was informed that the windows would not be replaced after all with the reason given that they were not installed under our name. This was a strange shift in their position from last year when they came to assess. We are very disappointed, and certainly would not consider the company for any future works if they will not honour the warranty. I will be looking into support from the Ombudsman and will be warning my friends of this company's poor practice. *Update* to clarify I made it clear that the windows were installed under a different name to my own from the outset, your initial representative said it was fine and it hasn't been an issue until today. If you have the facility I suggest listening to the recording of the initial phonecall to confirm this. Please provide the name and details of who will be dealing with this complaint moving forwards*

Mar 08,2021Nice people .priced up easy .Easy to speak to all on phones .efficient work and from outside no brick work damaged can see new windows and outside no damage seen (i was worryed about this ) at this moment in time iam happy cover all my carpets so nothing was trod in aslo .fitter worked hard . Door in next cant wait .

Mar 02,2021Very good service. Previous customers are not forgotten. Our excellent back door with coloured patterned glass was fitted in 2011 by the Smiths team. 2021 it needed an upgraded lock. A visit the following day after phoning - new lock ordered and fitted within 2 weeks. Friendly helpful service top class engineer. What's not to like.

Feb 19,2021These guys were the heroes of the day, my elderly neighbour had her kitchen window smashed by kids and couldn't get anyone to come out on an emergency. Smiths glass came out and saved the day and didn't charge her the world like some would. Highly recommended for their workmanship and service.

Feb 16,2021Quick response to request for service. Required repair of two windows, where locking mechanism had failed after ten years. Technician assigned within a couple of days for visit within two weeks. He resolved problem efficiently and was evidently very experienced. Happy with result.

Feb 11,2021Conservatory installation Delays were unfortunate owing to the virus closing the Welsh factory which prevented the supply of vital parts needed to start the build. Everything was fine once it was started. Staff workforce pleasant, helpful and hardworking. I am pleased with the final result.
