Jun 03,2021Spar in Sawston has sale items that you pay full price for at the till, you also have to ask for your receipt, so if you don't get a receipt you'll never know you are being ripped off.

Apr 27,2021Partner bought food and the date was changed to make it look fresher... was charged full price too for something that was going off today. Use by date said 29/04/21 but underneath that was the actual use by date hidden which was 27/04/21... what else have you done that with spar ? Minging

Apr 12,2021Spar Petrol Station on Wood Lane Corner in Eight Ash Green, Colchester. I have used this petrol station for a number of years and have always found the team helpful, friendly and efficient. I feel as though they are an important part of our community. Lawrence even gave my eight year old a book on cars as he knows he's cars obsessed. What a genuinely lovely thing to do, from a genuinely lovely man. You have a great team there and I definitely feel as though they deserve recognition from senior management for their great attitude.

Apr 08,2021The majority of the staff are helpful & friendly. However, there is one girl who is not, perhaps she should be on the tills less & stacking the shelves more. She once made a racist comment to me "the reason the virus is spreading is because of all the asian people hugging" 🤦🏻♀️ She also refuses to talk to my child (as apparently another child called her name in the street once 😱 )

Apr 03,2021Spar at BP garage leppings lane Hillsborough. A member of staff with tracy or tina on name badge racially abused a member of the public and that rude. I witnessed an innocent white man being called southern b*****d and told to go back to where he came from. Even though he is white I found this highly offensive as I hv friends from all nationalities. An innocent white member of the public. I was shocked to hear this. I gave the person my number in case he needs a witness Please note All other spar stores I been in have been ok and no problems.

Mar 22,2021They most horribly managed inventory. My experience over the last 2 months has been that they cant deliver even half of the items in the order and sometimes the entire order is cancelled. Its like its run by a bunch of amatuers who don't understand that wasting customers time to place orders and then not fulfill those orders is how a company dies. I would not recommend ordering from spar.

Feb 17,2021My little boy wanted a toy from Spar.He has chosen crystals kit/some suspicious pink chemical looking like coloured sugar/It meant to be mixed with water and piece of rock to be submerged in that mix and “sparkling spines would grow in 3 days”...But nothing like that happened! Little boy-disappointed..After 3 days there was some mushy soft mixture around the stones..Waste of money!

Feb 17,2021Absolutely disgusting experience today at Spar Euro Garages Elstree Hill. The member of staff serving was not wearing her mask properly (her nose was uncovered) then she sneezed into her hand and passed me my receipt! No tissue/sanitizing. Given how busy this shop is its very concerning to see coronavirus rules and basic hygiene so casually disregarded. If this woman contracts the virus she could become a super spreader.

Feb 01,2021I've been to 4 spars.. 2 in my own city and 2 in another. Terrible customer service at all 4 stores. The staff talk to each other & gossip when they are serving you. It's very rude! Some of their products are priced ok, but most of it is overly priced. Such a RIP off.

Jan 26,2021My local Spar is just awful. Very cheap and nasty food at exorbitant prices. Who would pay £5 for a rack of ribs or £5 for a basic chilled pizza? It never has modern, normal food. Just weird old fashioned and badly made cheap food. Management is appalling as stock maintenence is a joke. Always empty shelves, & yes this was before Covid. It's a scruffy unloved and never updated or remodelled. Terrible company.
