Spar in Middleton state signs it’s is compulsory to wear a mask then going in the store none of the staff are adhering to it along with customers. Get a grip of your stores and take action through Covid. Discussing

I went to my local spar here in Hartlepool for some cans of Lager. When i noticed quite a few of the 4 packs had been taped together as there was no plastic holders ?? on them. I left them alone because if they had been dropped by the staff they could have when opened sprayed Lager all over.

Review of Spar, Partney, Silsby PE23 4PF Monday 27th July 2020, approx 1430hrs Entered the petrol forecourt store, having forgotten to bring my facemask. Rudely challenged by the male member of staff on duty who informed that I would need to buy a facemask to continue shopping. This member of staff was wearing a facemask loosely over a scraggly beard - not a good example. Bought a facemask for £2.99 to use in the shop. This facemask looked to be constructed from an absorbent foam that was porous and did not seem fit for purpose and appeared to be cheaply sourced. Whilst I accept that I should have remembered my own mask, it is inevitable that some customers will at times forget to bring theirs. On these occasions I would hope that responsible retailers would work together with their customers by offering suitable facemasks at a reasonable price, rather than seeking to shamelessly exploit the covid pandemic for company profit. I hope that this review will encourage Spar and other retailers to adopt a more morally conscientious stance and thereby retain customers.

Went to post a parcel at the out of hours post office and the lady stood there leaning on the counter and told me she couldn’t do it even though there was no one waiting to be served. The staff are always on their phones, they are rude and not helpful at all. Definitely gone downhill since Co Op changed to Spar

I was unfairly treated at Aljoes Spar Bloemfontein by a lady controlling ques, she told all the essential workers not to stand on the que, she was referring to a couple of man wearing security uniform, I was also wearing my uniform as a railway worker, I also went to her to get sanitized, I told her I am also an essential worker, she then asked me to show her my permit, she didn't ask those man for their permits, she then ignored me infornt of so many customers, she was loud and that honestly embarrassed me. But what's worse is that I wrote an email complaining about the incident, and I was promised that after they make their investigations, they'll get back to me. It's been a month, and still nothing. I stay so close to the store, but based on how they treat their customers, I'd rather take a long a drive to another store. No more Spar.

I totally understand the one way system/follow the arrows during the current pandemic however, surely common sense can be used also? I popped in on my way home from work (as a key worker) just to get some vape oils for my neighbour and walked straight to the till as there was only one other person in the store tucked down one of the aisles on the self serve hot drinks machine. Reached the counter and the lady refused to serve me unless i went back to the entrance and followed the arrow system. This of course meant I would then have to pass the other person very closely before I reached the till again! What is the point?!! Anyway to top it all off, when I asked the 'assistant' for the required product, she shrugged her shoulders opened her hands and said" Oh, you'll have to show me cos I'm a smoker, I dunno anything abou vapes". Really? I'm sorry, if I was selling a product I knew nothing about, I would educate myself so I could provide assistance and advise to the potential customer.

AVOID SPAR MILL HILL BLACKBURN The staff are extremely rude especially the older ones who have been there a long while. Talking about the staff they hoard items in the back for other staff when the shelves are out of stock of that particular item. All staff need to be trained in good customer service inc manners, appearance and respect and when it is appropriate to talk to customers and staff. The manager knows her job and does take care of the shop but is very lax when it comes to disciplining her staff, she let's them talk to customers like s**t. Shop is very expensive with little choice.

The store in scarborough is a joke covid joke stupid one way barriers and arrows everywhere .staff stand back and talk to you like crap wont go in there again .jobsworths who work in a crap shop treating customers like crap

Would have said zero!! Outrageous prices in all the spar shops in the cleethorpes area, especially when these shops are mainly near housing estates with elderly people.young families. Went into store for bread few bits etc terrible spring onions 5 in a bunch £1.40! Too many to mention oh jar of curry sauce £2.49 a £1.00 in Heron totally outrageous and I will never shop in Spar stores ever again

Very overpriced with fuel and everything in the shop its self, can definitely get it cheaper elsewhere! I used to go in there for gas bottles but they would always say they where the only person in the shop so they couldn’t leave to get one! Who mans a gas station on there own!!?? Either that or they are to lazy to go out and do it! So I went elsewhere for my gas but it’s cheaper anyways!

I was a regular shopper at Padiham Rd Spar in Burnley until a member of staff was very rude to me. I complained to James Hall and received a response from area manager Gillian Leech telling me she was sorry I had cause to complain and sorry I felt that a member of staff was aggressive and rude but never offered an apology. I was also told that the store manager had spoken to the shop assistant. (whatever that means). Gillian also understood my frustration but not my anger at being badly spoken to by the shop assistant who embarrassed me in front of other customers and staff. I sent another e-mail to Gillian but she hasn't taken the trouble to respond. I will find an alternative for my midweek shops.

Being disabled with MS today i left my home for the first time in months alone. At 2pm i went to my local spar shop in winthope/skegness to buy my husband who is my carer a birthday cards.. I'm very aware of convid-19 and keep myself safe and others around me but when i walked into your shop i didnt realise the shop floor was one way and keeping my distance i headed for the birthday cards at this point i heard shouting but thought it was other customers on the shop floor just talking loudly.. but when i was followed by a woman the name of Amanda shouting and screaming at me "i'd walked the wrong way around the shop floor" i was so embarrassed and very upset as other customers in the shop could hear her screaming at me.. i wanted to cry on the spot and walk out but this was a big thing for me leaving the house alone and really needed these cards. Whilst keeping a safe distance from other customers i waited my turn to be served then arrived at till with the women named Heather, i said sorry i didn't know about the one way around the store to be futher abused shouting its shows arrows on the floor and again i explained that i hadn't seen this.. she said carry on and i wont serve you.. when i asked her name she pointed out that shes the manager of that store and said feel free to complain because the head office supports their staff. Anyway after one hour of crying and feeling so embarrassed because all this was loud and infront of customers gladly because im local many of the customers know me, they also said if they want to back my complaint up i would have there support and also write a statment if needed. This was very upsetting for me and now i will never return again. Iv worked most of my working life in co-op and knows this was no way to talk to paying customers no matter who was in the wrong. I will be talking this complaint all the way if needed and many people behind me to back me up. Just wished Amanda and your manager Heather to be polite at all times even though i tried to say sorry! I hope you dont approve of this behaviour and take action. Looking forward to your reply on this matter? I will also copy this MESSAGE to my local MP but hopes it dont come to this. Heather was not wearing a name tag and also know how important this is working on the shop floor. Was told also about Heather & Amanda laughing and slagging me off in front of other customers after me. Also willing to give a statment if needed. No matter how bad the covid-19 is this is no way to talk to your local customers. You will see on your CCTV in this store to back everything iv said.

Can you guys send me your Staff Rota Please? I want the avoid that truly unpleasant little man with glasses working your counter. Abrupt, Obtuse, Arrogant, and zero customer skills. This man has absolutely no business working in a forward facing customer role. As regular business customer of daily coffee, fuel etc. I am now forced to avoid him at every opportunity and fuel up elsewhere. I am not alone here folks. Another member of staff was recently overheard describing him as a happiness hoover, sucking up the atmosphere the entire store!

SPAR ONLINE RENDELÉSMÓDOSíTÁS NEM MŰKÖDIK!!!!!! #rohadtspar #szemétspar #sparmagyarország #sparonline #sparhungarysucks #sparhunsux #sparhungary Március 13-án (néhány órával az iskolabezárás bejelentése után, mert résen voltam) gyorsan befoglaltam egy kiszállítási idősávot a spar online-on március 25-én délelőttre, néhány terméket berakva a kosárba (a sávok pillanatok alatt teltek be, a Tesconál is) . A visszaigazoló email szerint: "Felhívjuk figyelmed, hogy a megvásárolni kívánt termékek listáját online shopban regisztrált vásárlóink a kiszállítást/átvételt megelőző nap 23 óráig módosíthatják." Ma este 7-től egy órán keresztül összeállítottam az időközben kifogyott, valóban szükséges termékek listáját és szerettem volna elküldeni a módosított rendelést. (Ahogy az egyébként a Tesco online-on működik is!) Szép kis összegű heti rendelés lett volna, mert kismamaként nem szeretném elkapni a vírust és nem járunk bevásárolni, de az oldal nem engedte. Amikor rákattintottam a rendelésmódosításra a válogatás elején, feljött egy pop-up ablak, hogy "nem tudják biztosan garantálni az idősávot, de mindent megtesznek". Gondoltam jó, akkor a módosítás miatt pár órával később hozzák ki, üsse kavics. Hát nem. A most rendelést leadni kívánóaknak megjelenített, április 8-áig teljesen betelt naptárt jelenítette meg egy órával és 22 tétellel később és nem engedett tovább a fizetéshez! 26 percen keresztül csörgettem az emailben megadott ügyfélszolgálati telefonszámot, mire valami dilettáns kislány felvette, aki arra hivatkozott, hogy már összeállították (!!!!!!!) a teherautókat és nem fér rá több tétel. Meg a pop-up ablakot szajkózta, hogy ők erre figyelmeztettek, amikor módosítottam a rendelést. Tökmindegy, mi volt az emailben, és tökmindegy, hogy két hétre előre senki nem tudja, mi fog pontosan kifogyni. Megy a feljelentő levél printscreenekkel és rendelési számmal a fogyasztóvédelemhez és soha többet nem vásárolok a sparban, pedig az elmúlt 11 évben, amióta Pesten élek, a napi bevásárlásaim 90 %-át ott intéztem.

£3.75 for a stone baked cheese stuffed pizza, it was about 8 inches in diameter, the box was massive, wasn’t no cheese in the crust literally hollow the whole way through, about 6 pieces of chicken on the whole pizza and tasted like cardboard! Shocking isn’t the word! Will never be eaten that again, overpriced crap wouldn’t give it to my dog!
