Dec 01,2023Subcold themselves I can't really fault, ordering of the product was simple, and item delivered on the day expected. The issue lies with their chosen courier, DPD. You are advised that you will be given a one hour time slot, however this did not occur. I work out of the area, but have family in the area that were on standby for me to give them the timeslot so they could be there for delivery. DPD called me and advised they were there with the item, with no heads up with an hour timeslot. To be fair to the delivery guy (at this stage) he said he could drop it off at a certain time later in the day, which allowed me to arrange a family member to be there. They turned up on time, however, they refused to bring the item further than the main front door (I am on the third floor, granted there is no lift, but this has not been an issue for many other deliveries, and of bigger/heavier size). So, the item was left downstairs with my 73yo mother to try and figure out how to get it up 3 flights of stairs. Fortunately, a friendly neighbour and his friend turned up and did the heavy lifting that the DPD driver couldn't be bothered to do. As I say, Subcold themselves were great, but I cannot give this a 5 star rating because the delivery, or lack thereof, of the item reflects badly back onto Subcold as their chosen agent.

Nov 30,2023After some research we decided to buy the Subcold Barcool to hold some liquid medicines that required sub 15 C degrees storage. The Barcool arrived properly packaged and worked as described. We have found that the medicines stay in a perfect condition for the whole 24 hours on the lower powered 'night' setting. A bonus is the Barcool can be powered from either a 240v or 12v source making it truly portable. Just one tiny niggle is that each of the four Barcool feet could do with a rubber insert to prevent the unit slipping when opening/ closing the door.

Nov 27,2023Great price and included delivery. Much better deal than Curry’s and Curry’s charges £25 to deliver and want more to install a plug in appliance. The cooler has a modern appearance with minimal setup. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for this type of cooler.
