Feb 17,2023I'm so pleased to have found SPD through their Facebook ad. From the initial request for suggestions as to how to revamp my pond, to the completed work, the process has been faultless. Doug, Russell and Craig worked so hard and so well together. They've done a fantastic job and the new pond layout has enhanced the garden. They went over and above the remit by digging up and replanting some small bamboos which were hiding the pond and even took away some old fencing. The whole area was cleaned when the work was done, including my neighbour's patio, which was used as access. SPD made the whole experience a pleasure, in spite of the upheaval. I would certainly recommend them.

Jan 28,2023By chance I saw the Sussex Pond Doctor van, made a note of the number & booked an appointment. On meeting Doug and discussing the options I knew I had found the right company. He listened and found an excellent solution to make my filter cleaning easier to manage, more efficient, within my budget and the aesthetics of my garden, Doug, Craig & Russell were such a happy team, and worked cleanly and thoroughly taking away all waste etc. Following the work carried out Doug kindly offered my first check free of charge. I have now arranged a regular system check once a year.

Jan 25,2023I had an ongoing issue with a water feature which was causing me problems. Doug came to assess the situation and explained my options. I decided on a new water feature and was given a quote the same day. I am so pleased with the job Doug, Craig & Russell did. Whilst working they tidied up as they went along, were polite and friendly and answered any questions I had. My fish & plants were transferred into a holding pool and well looked after. I can’t recommend Sussex Pond Doctor enough and will be using their services again. Thank you.

Jan 20,2023I highly recommend Sussex Pond Doctor. Communication - Calls / emails responded to quickly. Time keeping - Always came when they said they would. Always tidied up before leaving. Cheerful, friendly and polite. Our goldfish, frogs and newts were all well looked after. Sussex Pond Doctor completely re furbished my pond and it looks beautiful with a lovely brick edge. A highly professional team. Thanks guys.

Dec 15,2022The team from Sussex Pond Doctor did an excellent job of cleaning out my pond, cut back the overgrown plants and restored the whole thing to a much nicer feature. They left the area around the pond clean, neat and tidy and all on a freezing cold day - thankyou guys.

Nov 15,2022Doug and his team did a fantastic job filling in our very large koi pond (and rehoming our fish). It was a difficult project as the pond is on a steep raised area with access issues but they solved all the unforeseen problems that arose and did not change their quote. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

Nov 07,2022Excellent company , great communication with Doug and well executed regeneration of our natural pond. I particularly liked the consideration that they gave to our wildlife and its protection , all work done manually when machinery would be quicker but very harmful to the natural environment. We will definitely work with Sussex Pond Doctor again.

Doug and his team made that happen, not only that the service was outstanding , dealt with every request, turned up on time everyday, looked after my fish whilst out of the pond, was courteous, friendly and tidy! I can’t stop staring at my pond now, th quality and detail they put in is remarkable! Would highly recommend!

Sep 30,2022Doug, The Pond Doctor, came to assess the work to be done on bringing two ponds into one large one for our growing Koi carp. He discussed all possibilities together with solutions of the work and how it would be carried out. Following our agreement of this he sent his quotation and we set a start date. The original quotation was kept to when we paid the bill. Doug, with Craig and Russell arrived every day on time for the five days they were here. They were very respectful of the garden, fish and plants and sorted out temporary housing for the fish and pond plants. They kept everything clean and tidy as they went. In fact they used a jet wash at the end ensuring any muddy parts were washed away. All of them were very respectful and polite. Doug has an absolute passion for ponds in every way, whether it be building from scratch to maintaining or servicing them. He is a great guy who knows exactly how to make your plans become a reality. We are extremely grateful of his services, leaving us very, very happy and would not hesitate in recommending him and his team.

Aug 12,2022I asked Sussex pond Doctor to supply & install a new filter , air pump & switch box for my fish pond & I am delighted with the new equipment , the filter has an auto clean option so that was a bonus & the air pump can feed 6 airlines which can be adjusted for more or less powerful air bubbles in the pond . They put one in my wildlife pond also which I really like as I can have just gentle air bubbles whilst in the fish pond I can turn up the power which the fish love in this heatwave . In just a day this 25,000 pond filter with 35 WATT UV cleared up my green pond & now the pond is so beautifully clear I can see the bottom . Also Doug has been very helpful in my plans for a Koi pond upgrade in April 2023 , I thoroughly recommend Sussex Pond Doctor if you want the best .

Aug 01,2022I was given advice on how they could proceed to refurbish the pond which had been neglected for many years. This was done and a new pump and filtration system installed. Doug explained to me how to use the system and gave me assurance to email him if I had any problems following his instructions. I now have a pond back to its former glory. Doug and team were polite and respectful of my property, they left the site clean and tidy. I would not hesitate to recommend Sussex Pond Doctor.

Installed very quickly, with more useful advice from the installation team as well as a thorough explanation of how to use and maintain the system. Would recommend to anyone with pond problems

We have a large pond with koi carp and numerous other fish and planting that needed total rebuild the finished result being the best it has ever looked. Jun 13,2022I am absolutely delighted with The Pond Dr and his team. Doug and the team were a little late due to traffic, not their fault, but they rang me. Then everything they did was brilliant, they laid some plastic down to protect the the lawn, they cleared the area where the pre-purchased pond was to go, we had a chat, and after a few hours my wild life pond was finished. It looks beautiful and gives the appearance that it’s been there for years and not just a few days. Doug and his team are very knowledgeable and have a excellent eye for detail and positioning of plants etc. I just wish I could insert the before and after photos. I now have to wait for the wild life to arrive, which Doug assured would happen. All in all I’m a very happy customer and would recommend Dr “Doug” and his team to anyone.

The children can't wait to get out, and with Doug's further support we will be introducing some wildlife attracting, pond friendly plants to further their learning.

May 27,2022The pond in our garden had been leaking and semi-derelict for years. Doug & the team patiently took us through the options while we thought long and hard about it. We eventually bit the bullet and are so glad we did! We now have a lovely pond with working cascade and fountain, as well as fish and water lilies. We're delighted with the result and have had many positive comments from passing neighbours. We thoroughly recommend Sussex Pond Doctors!

May 26,2022Its been 6 months since my pond was totally revamped. I inherited the reasonably sized pond when I purchased the property some 29 years ago and looked after the same DIY with the usual hiccups along the way re pond maintenance and fish keeping. It had become over grown and needed a total rebuild. Doug and his able helper arrived and emptied the pond, looked after the fish, and did a superb job on time and within budget. They basically rebuilt the pond from scratch with new liners, filtration system, pump, waterfall, edging blocks the full monty. It did look fantastic when they left but being an old suspicious type have waited to see how it would go. 10 out of 10 chaps seriously pleased, its looking better every day with some plant life, fish are thriving and water clarity very good. Seriously impressed and can only highly recommend them. Yes I had to wait a while as they were booked up BUT it was worth the wait. Thanks Sussex Pond Doctor.

Doug was responsive to emails in the lead up and on the actual day of the job, they arrived on time, were courteous and hardworking and the fish are now very happy ! Would definitely recommend .
