Jan 18,2025We recently sold our 1 bed flat with Swiitch, and attempted an onward purchase. Our experience of Swiitch was very disappointing. This is not directed at our allocated para-legal who was kind and patient and tried her best . Rather this feedback relates to the wider Swiitch organisational structure, cutlute, lack of oversight from supervisors/seniors, poor processes & QC, unprofessional advice from certain staff - was really disappointing and made the process needlessly difficult. Especially considering how expensive Swiitch are compared to competitors - i specifically went with Swiitch and paid more to avoid such issues ironically Few examples: - many calls and emails not responded to or acknowledged. Required a lot of chasing at times - phone calls avoided by one senior staff member who even hung up on us after we told them our name - unprofessional and flippant legal advice provided by one of the conveyancers on our onward purchase ( re a particular legal issue we faced on the purchase) which almost caused us to pull out of the purchase needlessly due to such poorly worded advice. - zero contact from the principal conveyancer ( for the entire process as he was off sick and there was no contact from a senior delegate of his either - hence no escalation route for issues. Normally if someone senior is absent, they delegate to someone else senior. We paid for 2 conveyancers - but effectively only had 1. Technically I feel we should have only paid half the fee given this. Our para-legal tried her best but it felt like a lack of guidance/oranisation at times from seniors. - Regular errors in documentation, details, (e.g. even the sale price was incorrect in some of the documents, etc) - we had to check every document, and email, even simple ones due to the number of issues. Again I feel there was a lack of supervision of senior experienced conveyancers at times. Once again - the above issues do not relate much to our allocated para-legal - rather this relates to the Swiitch culture and governance/processes which are clearly not great. I would not recommend Swiitch at all. I actually selected them due to such high reviews on trust pilot - but suggest you read the other 1 star reviews which are a similar story. I do hope Swiitch management sort things out soon but until then, I would avoid!

Even though the whole process was stressful it was great how good they were at answering questions and for the fact that I could call them at that someone would always answer .
