I encountered an unfortunate and unforeseen delay with the delivery of my w/m plus a dryer. Mukul the warehouse manager was excellent and went out of his way to assist me. He also arranged a Third-Party delivery with Jaspal who was exceptional and got my items delivered within 24hrs as promised. Both these guys were friendly and very helpful and they just made my day. I Bought a Iceland 330l fridge freezer two years ago and spent a good $900 for it on special My last fridge was 20+ years old and still going good an just wanted to upgrade an get something NEW Fridge freezer fan /sensor buggered out making horrible noises ,tried to find where you could get parts for it or who could fix while waiting to hear back from Trade Depot,in that time found out NO ONE would touch it or even knows where they are made,trade depot service tech calls me an accuses me of altering the fan and changing things when i simply did not The attitude was horrible especially since the fridge needs to be sorted asap and having a baby food is important Told them i wanted to know who to complain to within the company an no response I will never buy a product from them and never advise people to go there even if it was 90% off Horrible company disgraceful if NZ owned
If I could recommend something NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. Customer service is an absolute joke, after multiple phone calls not to mention sitting on hold to them to sort delivery not a single one of them could work it out waited 4 hours after being told that the truck was 30 mins away. Terrible delivery service, terrible customer service. Don’t waste your time or money with these people
I bought a fridge from here only to find out it was faulty and kept freezing everything to minus 7 degrees, I was told there would be a restocking fee if I sent the fridge back, clearly they need to school up on the consumers guarantees act. After well over a month and many phone calls and emails I got a replacement fridge with no extra cost to me. Very poor customer service and a poor quality product. I will never deal with nor recommend trade depot to anyone.
Free delivery to the door. Then to come inside costs $169 per appliance. I can put a plug in the socket. Don't need them to install. Bought a washing machine 3 yrs ago. Terrible problems with the delivery. Terrible customer service. Not worth the slightly lower costs for the item. Wish I could give zero.
Update. I have had contact with the support team at trade depot and solutions are pending. Thanks to them for seeing my issues and moving to help. It's not the problems, it's the solutions right? Was shopping for a heat pump and found what I wanted on the trade depot website, and asked a couple of questions. A salesperson from trade depot rung me right then and offered free immediate delivery and checked that stock was available. Paid right then and there. And waited weeks just to get an email saying there was no stock. A lot harder to get someone to talk to once you have paid and have issues. I still don't have all the parts required and stated in the ad, and promised. I'm not blaming the staff they have been friendly and helpful.
Just bought a bathroom cabinet from Trade Depot Hamilton. Waited 30 minutes for the team to pull the item from the store! Very long waiting period...
I see a lot of bad reviews here, mainly in regards to communication & delivery however my experience has been nothing but fantastic! Excellent communication & super fast delivery! Especially since i live rural! I purchased an upright freezer on Sunday afternoon online, was surprised to find the free shipping was available to me being rural. I received an email Monday morning that item has been dispatched, a few hrs later i was notified it would be delivered next day. Tuesday i received a text saying driver is minutes away then it was delivered. The entire process was very fast & efficient & i can't fault anything! Freezer is excellent too. Definitely will shop with TD again!
Do not buy from this company! Worst customer service. Took 9 weeks to sort out oven issues. They sent the wrong part 3 times and then finally gave us a new oven but when it was being delivered they didn’t have enough room on the truck so left our oven behind so we had to get main freight to deliver it. Do not buy from this place just selling bad quality to make maximum profit. When the new oven got delivered it was missing 2 screws as well. Just over it. Don’t have the money to buy a better one as we just bought the house.

I simply can not believe I haven’t do this to get any reply from this scam business. It took a bad review for them to finally pick up my package (it took over 6 weeks) then they have the audacity to not refund my money. They’re full of apologies but don’t follow any through. I highly recommend avoid this scam company. I gave them one star because frankly I can’t give them less. It’s 0/5 from me.
Have bought appliances here before. No problems and good value. However i Purhcased 3 x Rebon floor standing Towers for the wardrobe. the 600mm unit had undrilled drawers and oversized camlock holes. I emailed customer services with the details, invoice and photos. Zero response. I would not recommend buying any of the flatpack wardrobe furniture. Followup customer service is atrocious phone not answered and no response to emails.

Door handle broke on fridge. Handle on freezer about to do the same. Handle replaced on fridge but woman at Hamilton suggested it was my fault as she did not read the report correctly. We put a washer in behind the very inadequate plastic to try to repair as a replacement would do the same. NOT before as suggested thereby CAUSING the handle to break. The freezer is the same and flexes badly when you go to open the door. Has to come off in my hand before they will replace. NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE! Salesperson does not listen.
Purchased a fridge and it started to rattled and been struggling to get a refund was meant to have a tech to come pick it up at 10today but no one came. What a pain in the backside company. They insisted a replacement but I said no I want a refund your customer service is shocking

If there was a negative star rating, I'd be giving it. We purchased a Vogue washing machine from Trade Depot. It worked perfectly fine for just over two months, and then it failed catastrophically. Water was flowing out of the machine unit with such force it flooded our double garage and through walls into our son's room and the walk-in pantry in less than 10 minutes. It's caused thousands of dollars worth of damage to our home. Thank goodness for our insurance company. They've saved our house. We contacted Trade Depot, and things seemed to be progressing well. They collected the faulty machine after we provided the photos of the damage caused and of the drying equipment our insurer provided. Then the spinning started. They tried to blame us for the fault, saying there was white plumbing tape on the connection hoses. We don't and have never owned white plumbing tape. The flooding was from the washing machine unit, not the connection hoses. We installed and used the machine following all the instructions provided in the user manual. They are now stalling, expecting us to jump through hoops and just refusing to give us our full refund of $399.00. I've provided photos of the damage caused, the machine has been returned and they have my bank details. But now they have the machine back they're insisting they need more evidence. If we don't provide this they will not refund us our money. They have informed us they are going to deduct $120 from the refund to cover the technician tests. But are waiving other fees as a sign of "good will". Meanwhile, we're paying for an insurance excess and extra power that was used while our home was being dried. We purchased a washing machine, not a water feature. Therefore, the item we purchased is "unfit for purpose," and we are entitled to a full refund with no deductions. This whole experience has been horrific and incredibly stressful. From what I've read since this happened to us, this is their pattern of behavior when their products fail. People must just get sick of it and give up. All we want is our money back for the faulty machine. That's the very least they can do.

Aug 24,2024I ordered this product online Midea Dehumidifier with WiFi - 30L 373055 on the 20th August. Followed up on the 23rd advising we wished to collect on the 24th, to be told there was no stock available despite stock showing across other depots on the north island. Refund takes 4 days and we now have to find another as it is required today. Our credit card bill is processed on the 25th of the month which means we won't get the refund until after we have to pay. You should not have stock on promotion and available to order if you have no stock - VERY POOR
