Despite having worked with several umbrella companies before, I was able to explain issues I had experienced previously and Mollie helped me to understand why these problems had happened by explaining what previous companies had done and how umbrella.co.uk did things differently to avoid any problems for me in the future. Mollie explained things in a way I could easily understand and gave me real answers not making any promises she couldn’t keep but being honest with how we would work together which I really appreciated after having been let down by umbrella companies in the past. She has made it clear I can contact her any time I need and she will be available where possible to answer any questions. I feel very happy to be working with this company and with the immediate rapport Mollie built with me professionally and making me feel comfortable.

Jul 13,2024Where to start with Umbrella.co.uk? As a new contractor I had the joy of using an umbrella for inside ir35 work. First month was all smooth sailing then the HMRC messed with my tax code and it totally broke their payroll system and brains. For one, they're using a subcontractor called Breezy pay Ltd who you will be delighted to know is dissolved and their current version is going to get struck off company house. They don't do any payroll in-house and it shows, I wouldn't be surprised if they're not even accredited. They refuse to budge on payroll being incorrect. For example, when I got my tax rebate they claimed I owed them it back! Adding it to my tax total from HMRC. I provided the print outs, screenshots..you name it and their answer was to call me confused. The only thing confusing is how this money making racket is allowed to continue. They also love to cite how they're compliant with HMRC and will likely respond to this review with that but even if you shove HMRC documentation in their face they will act like it doesn't exist whilst blaming them for your payroll not matching up with HMRC records. According to them, I make less money for working for more days. Work 15 days? £634 tax. Work 20 days well hold on! You're paying over £1600 tax, that will teach you for earning more money and having an HMRC record showing you should have only paid £820 tax. My only recourse after speaking to dumb and dumber is to report them to the HMRC. Also the FCSA have been alerted to their practices and hopefully that leads to them losing partnership status. I'm pretty sure these jokers couldn't even get drunk in a brewery. Avoid if you treasure your sanity and to whoever responds to my review, I hope the HMRC fines you 🫵 Update: to debunk some of the nonsense they have replied with. They can't explain the tax as its not correct on their system and rather than admit they have a payroll error they blame the HMRC. They use Breezy pay LTD and it isn't done in house, you'll see it on your payslip. I spoke to 3 different advisors at HMRC and all have told me to report umbrella.co.uk to them as they have not asked for the tax amount shown on my payslip. I've shown them the evidence from HMRC showing the tax amount they asked for and they refuse to engage with it 🤷🤡

Jul 10,2024Scam..... do not use theses pay your own money with you're holiday pay an only pay min wadge use youre oen money to pay u the rest an state its the law but can't tell me what one Daniel Bates listens to calls an don't tell you he is there listening the customer service tell you to read properly when you tell them you're dyslexic.. wouldn't even give them a star but have to to leave a review all around experience I would rather s#it in my hands an clap then use this company again absolutely robbing people c#%to
