Nov 12,2019I used umbrella for a short period of time whilst I was contracting between permanent jobs. They were helpful and informative and the portal for accessing payslips was easy to use. They have also been very prompt and helpful again in providing a P45 when I moved to a permanent contract. I would use them again and recommend them.

Oct 02,2019Paid quickly but incorrectly - underpaid and overpaid multiple times over a 3 month contract, name was frequently and persistently misspelled inspite of polite correction, customer service promised a call back after highlighting one of their overpayment mistakes and after an email and a call to them I waited a week to get a response - I had to request a call with someone to complain for someone to respond and again by email. Really sloppy service, when you only pay them to do one important job and they dont do that properly or manage to help you resolve issues quickly and effectively - and YOU have to do all the heavy lifting, it takes the **** a bit. So I would really not recommend them, would suggest actively avoid.

Sep 24,2019Pretty good Umbrella service, simple portal which is easy to read and use. Quick and helpful response from the staff. It does the job fairly well. I had some issues with my student loan but this was also thanks to HMRC and the Student Loans Company so Umbrella.co.uk wasn't at fault. I would like there to be a way to change the start date of timesheets being processed, you can only start from Monday to Sunday which isn't ideal if the company you work for start timesheets on a Friday and ends on Thursday.

Sep 20,2019A bunch of slackers who are simply there to take your money, cause frustration and undue stress. All of the accounts are submitted in a rush last minute as they always appear understaffed and overworked. Any adhoc queries from hmrc especially IR35, makes them nervous. Its always a struggle to speak to your accountant and email correspondence is extremely slow and even when you do get a response, its really vague and ambiguous. Run for the hills and never look back is my advice to any one considering these cowboys. Update - Response to Umbrella. Hi Peter, I have always been working outside IR35 and have provided detailed evidence to support this as well. Nevertheless this matter if anything is now between my ltd company and HMRC and frankly none of your concern.This is further evidence that Umbrella have no clue as to how IR35 works let alone their role even if the evidence provided is clear. The HMRC letters to GSK have been debated heavily already, I suggest you educate yourself before commenting further. I have already provided my reasons for leaving and while IR35 situation is certainly a strong rationale, to iterate it is not the only reason. Please do check your records as incorrect accounts have been submitted in my case with no urgency portrayed to fix either. I have updated the rating from poor to bad due to lack of emphathy shown and attempt to mislead the Trustpilot community. Regards, Ash
