Dec 15,2021Vintage Travel is our go to company when we want to book a villa / gite holiday. On every occasion the staff at HQ have been helpful and polite from the first phone call. The villas themselves (in Spain, Greece and France) have always been of a high standard. The reps in the resort areas were have visited, have been supportive and are always readily available, should you need them. On two occasions when problematic issues occurred, when we asked for help, they gave it. In Greece, the day before we arrived, our villa had suffered damage from the Medicane (Mediterranean Hurricane). On arrival at the airport, our rep had already arranged alternative accommodation for a few days to allow the electricity and water supply to be restored. In France, we were anxious about where to get a ‘return to the UK’ Covid test (as we only speak holiday French). The rep was able to identify pharmacies close to the gite, which provided the service we needed. We have already booked with Vintage Travel for next September.

Dec 15,2021We have used Vintage Travel for around 20 years and they are now used by our friends and family. Exceptional service always. Have stayed in villas in Costa Brava, several in Andalucia, Portugal and now, due to advancing years mainly Menorca. All villas are different..some modern some more traditional...all great. We have a holiday booked that should have been 2020, carried forward with no problem to 2021 and now 2022..we hope to be there!!

Dec 15,2021I stayed in Corfu for one week in September 2020 with my family and their young children and have nothing but praise for the service we received in booking and then changing our booking due to Covid regulations - a refund rapidly given for the difference in cost between the villas. The website information was accurate as was the advice given about the property which was clean and well equipped. The local information supplied by the local rep electronically rather than in paper form at the villa was very helpful and accurate and the welcome pack more extensive than we expected. We would definitely look to travel with Vintage again based on this experience.

Dec 15,2021We've used Vintage Travel many times over the years. Italy, France and various Greek islands. Each trip has been fantastic. Each villa beautiful and fully equipped. Communication was never an issue. We are in fact travelling with them again in 2022. I would always recommend Vintage.

Dec 14,2021Interesting how many of these reviews talk about how easy it is until you book and then it goes wrong. This company is totally out of step with the travel industry in terms of Covid risk today - don't touch them until they sort this out. They have a Covid guarantee which is worthless in present circumstances as it only covers national orders or paying for a hotel in quarantine. There is zero flexibility - you lose £250 even you ask to move 85 days before and so far we have lost £500 with them on nothing. I'd like to know what the owners get. Yes they told us this in August but everything changes all the time and this policy is as if nothing has changed and they want no risk at all. They present this as just "changing our minds" - well, if you look at the news out there it is not that. We did not just "change our minds" - Well, it is the travel business. Want us to book - then be helpful and act like other travel companies who want the business. Don't touch them until they sort this.

Nov 10,2021Vintage travel are polite and send useful information before your holiday begins. The Corfu representative, Stephanie, is lovely and very helpful BUT that is where the goodwill ends. We were unlucky enough to have a week of building work going on next to our villa and we spoke to the operation director in the UK who suggested we try to enjoy our holiday anyway and would sort things out on our return. Well enjoying the holiday meant getting out of the villa early in the morning and not returning until late afternoon when the building work was finished. We could have booked a B&B instead of a villa with a pool, which we were paying to be heated (we couldn't use it because of the building work). On return to the UK Vintage travel customer services said "you were just unlucky". Indeed we were unlucky to have booked with Vintage Travel. We were refunded 1.5 days out of 8 days holiday, but had disruption for 7 out of 8 days. We will not book again with Vintage travel, there are better companies out there and although our villa was nice it wasn't great. Also there is no battery in the smoke alarm, perhaps that is not included in the price of your holiday!

Nov 07,2021We had a lovely experience in the South of France with a property booked through Vintage Travel. The experience from start to finish was slick and the property exceeded expectations. We had a power cut one evening which was resolved very quickly despite it being the local rep’s evening off. Very glad we have found Vintage Travel for future trips. Thanks once again!

Sep 14,2021Good and bad. We had a wonderful holiday with the whole family, many of us had not seen each other for a long while due to Covid. However, we were disappointed with the villa, which was very expensive, and so a high standard was expected. I am writing this in case anyone else has a similar experience and then VT might take note. The villa was spacious and private but generally tired. The refrigerators were old, noisy, full of condensation and clearly not cold enough. VT has said this problem will be sorted out. Note also that if, like us, you plan to eat in then the oven is very small for a potential 12 people. There is a BBQ. The main issue was the pool. It was cloudy, dirty looking and infested with tiny white wormlike creatures. The latter we only saw when the lights were on at night, not nice when we had all been swimming. The owner visited every day to put chemicals in and vacuum out. We arrived on a Saturday and by Tuesday it was clearer and by Wednesday crystal clear as it should be. The creatures had also gone. We felt that the pool had not been made ready for us in time for our arrival. The pool did not get like that overnight. Certainly the filters didn’t seem to be on for long the first 48 hours. Although the times the filters were on seemed to increase after this. The owner stated that the hot weather, leading up to our holiday, had made the pool cloudy. Surely July and August temperatures are usually high in Mallorca and the pool pH/chemical balance should have been managed accordingly? I complained to VT who offered a voucher against a further holiday. Actually, an apology and admittance that the owner had failed to prepare the pool for our stay would have been more appropriate.

Jun 16,2021Have booked three villas with Vintage - one in Portugal, two in France - over the last 12 months. The villas have been top quality and reasonably priced. Customer service is exceptional - fast and friendly. Would 100% recommend.

May 05,2021The experience with vintage travel is ok as long as you like to book. Once booked and problems coming up, they are still nice and friendly but no goodwill or courtesy for any problems. They prefer to stick to their rules rather than trying to keep clients. We will not chose vintagetravel for further bookings as there are more consumer friendly company’s out there.

Nov 19,2020Our “luxury” villa was in worse condition than the worst holiday camp you could imagine. Torn blinds that fell off the walls, shower heads that squirted out the sides (I remained totally dry whilst stood underneath), plugs off of walls, broken window panes, hand rail up the stairs wasn’t fixed to the wall, the list is endless. Vintage Travel really do take the word “Vintage” to a whole new level. After producing video footage and photos we were given a refund of 3 days cash back from a weeks stay. We don’t live in a slum I won’t pay my hard earned money to stay in one as a holiday. On a positive note the pool was lovely but the owner was cross from our complaints so turned it off so it filled with wasps. Vintage Travel were very apologetic and seemed surprised about the condition of the villa and sent someone out there to inspect it. However this seems the condition of the villas is a common complaint on this page. The villa we stayed at was priced at £4500 per week peak. It was clean but so very, very tired. Not COVID tired this was decades of neglect.

Jan 27,2020Having to leave review on Trustpilot as Vintage Travel only select positive reviews on their site - misleading. Stayed at Casa delle Vinge in Le Marche Italy Sept 2019. Unfortunately villa was burgled - fortunately no physical harm but financial loss and frightening. Resulted in cutting short our stay in villa as felt unsafe to stay. Vintage Travel while assisting in reporting offence to local police did not want to know about recompense in respect of unplanned hotel and food costs. Worse Vintage Travel did not accept security review of villa needed irrespective of villa having no burglar alarm, safe, cctv, security gates etc. They even continued their policy of leaving the key under a stone at the house! Got me thinking. People work hard to pay thousands to stay in villa yet security in campsites in Italy way advanced. Even local Italian police described villas as ‘sitting ducks’. Worse case scenario. We could have been in the villa when it was burgled and someone could have been hurt. Vintage Travel - sorry but your disregard for customers safety means next time I will be staying at a hotel for peace of mind.

Both properties were exactly as described; clean, well equipped, in fantastic locations and each local representative was very helpful. Once travel restrictions revert to "normal" we would have no hesitation in re-booking with Vintage.
